Duke’s talented freshmen class will receive most of the betting public’s attention Wednesday night, but Wisconsin’s experience will be the difference in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Leading the Entire Way
Duke has trailed for just 48 seconds in winning its first seven games of the 2014-15 campaign, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks, as it also owns the distinction of being the winningest team of this event with a 13-2 SU record.

The Blue Devils are a remarkable 30-14 SU against teams ranked in the top 25 this decade, with a 12-8 SU mark against top-10 squads.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS as underdogs, with the OVER going 5-2 in those seven opportunities.

Tested Early On
Wisconsin already owns a pair of RPI top-25 wins this year, as it returns home after knocking off the likes of UAB, Georgetown and Oklahoma to win the Battle 4 Atlantis on Paradise Island.

The Badgers are one of the favorites to cut down the nets at the end of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, as they opened the year with their highest-ever AP preseason ranking.

It’s important to point out that the squad is 11-4 SU and 7-7-1 ATS versus teams that average 77 or more points per game dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season.

Head of the Class
The Blue Devils are also a leading contender to win it all this season due to their top-rated freshman class of Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow, as the quartet combines to average 45.9 points on 52.8 percent shooting from the floor.

Okafor has already been named a ACC Freshman of the Week selection three times, as he leads the team in scoring 17.7 points a contest, while ranking behind only junior forward Amile Jefferson in grabbing 7.9 boards a night.

Post Moves
Badgers forward Frank Kaminsky is the key player to handicap in this high-profile matchup at the Kohl Center, as the Preseason All-American earned MVP honors in the Battle of Atlantis in Bahamas, while he’s also contributed 16 blocks and eight steals.

Wisconsin and Duke will be meeting for just the third time Wednesday night, with both teams winning on its home floor, while tonight’s host has won both prior top-10 match ups that have taken place at this venue.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Badgers as one of their top ATS picks, as they’ve gone 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games versus ACC opponents, while the Blue Devils are 8-10 ATS in their last 18 true road games.
