Coming off of 4 straight wins and a win over the 9th ranked Florida State Seminoles, the North Carolina Tarheels come into their matchup with the Syracuse Orange with a ton of confidence as the Tarheels are a team that's faced the nation's best and stood up to the test. Tonight will be an uphill climb for Syracuse as they're double digit dogs.

Syracuse Orange (11-7) vs #11 North Carolina Tarheels (16-3) Battle-Tested

With 4 games against AP Top 25 teams, the North Carolina Tarheels have faced the best as they're also included in that elite group. This is a team that has an opportunity to go deep into the NCAA Tournaments as they possess a ton of talent and experience at the key positions. Syracuse should have their hands full in this spot.

Big Win Over the Seminoles

Indeed it was and North Carolina did it convincingly as they pounded the boards and outrebounded the Noles 56-34 in a 96-83 victory. 3 starters on the Tarheels squad finished up with 20 points or more, but bench player Luke Maye was the difference as he stepped up big with 15 rebounds in the ball game.

This was a luxury for the Tarheels as they're used to Kennedy Meeks (12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds) controlling the boards and in tonight's game, Meeks will need to stay out of foul trouble as Maye won't consistently be able to put up numbers similar to what he did versus FSU. Look for junior forward Justin Jackson to put up another 20 point performance as he's been the model of consistency, averaging 21.5 points per game in his last 8 games. Another player that the Heels can rely on is guard Joel Berry II. He's coming off of a 26 effort against Florida State and is a 42.7% shooter from 3-point land that also shoots over 90% from the charity stripe.

For Syracuse, volume shooting is the name of Andrew White III's game as this is an Orange team that lacks a definitive go to guy. White III has never met a shot that he didn't like and that's equated to 15.8 points per game on just 41.6% shooting from the field.

Syracuse doesn't have the weapons to compete with the Tarheels and North Carolina is the pick here.
