There are a few games tonight in which NCAA Basketball odds makers are a bit off the mark giving the bettor a decisive edge. Let's expose these games and make some cash.

Loyola (IL) (13-4, 3-2) vs. Southern Illinois (7-11, 0-5): Too Good To Be True?
There are some games in which a team is on the road, with a far superior record than their opponent, and is just a 1 or 2 point betting favorite in NCAA Basketball odds. Most bettors jump on the side of the favorite even though it appears too good to be true and they come out on the losing end.

In this game, I really don't see the "catch". The Ramblers are not a great team. They beat the teams that they should beat and lose to the top 25 teams, but they're still the far superior team in this matchup as the Salukis have lost 7 straight games following a 12 point loss to Wichita State and this game appears to be another "L" on their schedule.

In order for Southern Illinois to have any chance in this game, their leading scorer, Anthony Beane will need to re-gain the touch as this is an anemic Salukis offense which averages just above 60 points per game. Although Beane is averaging 16.2 points per game, he's been a disaster in his last 5 games, shooting 15 of 67 from the field and just 1 for 25 from 3 point range. If Beane continues to hoist up shots and keep missing, the Salukis will need to look elsewhere or this game will be a blowout in favor of Loyola (IL).

Christian Thomas
The Ramblers don't possess one of the strongest offenses in the country themselves, but they're an efficient shooting team led by senior Christian Thomas. Thomas has been inconsistent, but is coming off of a 16 point effort on 7 of 11 from the field in a win over Drake. Thomas has been unable to put up back to back solid games, but I think this is the game in which he becomes more consistent. Most of his lower scoring outputs have come against top 25 ranked teams and the level of competition takes a major drop in this game,

Guard Milton Doyle, is coming off of two poor efforts, but is shooting nearly 50% from beyond the arc. Look for Doyle to be a factor in this game. The opportunity to place your NCAA Basketball pick on the Ramblers to win quite easily as the spread is a gift.

Oregon (12-5, 2-2) vs. Washington (12-4, 1-3)
The Huskies come off of a much needed win over the Oregon State Beavers as they had lost their previous 4 games as inter-conference play separates the contenders from the pretenders.

Tonight, the Huskies are a 5.5 point betting favorite in which should be a competitive matchup against the Oregon Ducks. Oregon has a a high-powered offense, averaging 77.8 points per game and are coming off of a tough 108-99 loss in overtime against the Washington State Cougars. In this game, Joseph Young had led the Ducks with 32 points and Elgin Cook chipped in with 26 points. If Oregon's offense can play like this against Washington, they stand a great chance of at least covering the spread and possibly winning tonight's game.

Stopping Joseph Young
Washington's main goal in this game will be to stop guard Joseph Young from putting a 20 or 25 spot on them. Young can be inconsistent at times and this might work to the Huskies advantage. Young is coming off of a huge game against WSU, but a big game from Young doesn't necessarily mean a victory for Oregon and I don't see him putting up 32 on the well-rounded Huskies.

Look for Nigel Williams-Goss to have a big game. He's a very consistent leader on the Huskies squad. While he leads the Huskies in scoring at 14.3 points, Williams- Goss isn't a particularly great shooter; he wins by effort; grabbing the loose ball, controlling the boards, picking pockets, playing solid defense, and hitting the occasional big shot.

The Huskies should have a major advantage on the boards, not allowing 2nd chances as Robert Upshaw averages a near double- double and is coming off of a huge 12 point, 15 rebound effort against Oregon State. Look for these two players to shine and attempt to keep the score down as Washington will win the defensive battle and win this game.
