Our college basketball handicapping professional shares his three top totals picks on Sunday’s card. Go inside and read this informative piece before even entertaining making a college basketball totals wager today.

Notre Dame vs. North Carolina
Notre Dame has gone 8-3 under the total in its last eleven games overall, and is also 8-2 under during their previous ten contests when the total is 140.0 or more. Notre Dame has held its previous five opponents to a very respectable 40.5% shooting, and allowed them an average of only 13 free throw attempts per outing.

North Carolina has gone 14-6 under the total in its last twenty games, and that includes 10-2 under when the total is 150 or more. The Tar Heels have allowed 65.6 points per game, and held opponents to 38.5% shooting during their previous five contests.

The current NCAA Tournament odds provides me with an optimum combination of number and price for this wager.

NJIT vs. Columbia
NJIT has played extremely good defense in its prior three College Insider Tournament games leading up to this Semifinal matchup. They’ve allowed just 65.7 points per game while holding opponents to only 38.6% shooting.

Columbia has seen each of their last four games stay under the total, and there was a combined average of 132.8 points scored per contest. As a matter of fact, those games stayed under the total by an average of 11.7 points per outing.

These teams met earlier in this 2015-2016 college basketball campaign during a game played at Columbia. The home team Lions came away with a 65-56 win, and it was a very low scoring contest with all things being considered at that time. Columbia shot an awful 34.5% in that encounter, and NJIT wasn’t much better at 38.8%.

Relative to this current total, I like this game to be a low scoring affair. One of my Sunday NCAA Tournament picks will reflect that prediction.

UC-Irvine vs. Coastal Carolina
Despite UC-Irvine going 8-3 over the total in its last eleven outings, they’ve really tightened things up defensively during recent games. The Anteaters have held its last seven opponents to a paltry 37.1% shooting.

Coastal Carolina has seen just six of their games have a posted total this season, including each of its previous four contests. They’ve gone under the total in all six of those outings, and their last four produced just a combined 126.8 points scored per game. During those previous four, they allowed just 61.5 points per contest, and held its opponents to an extremely low 35.5% shooting.
