With the assistance of "Mr. Double-Double , Ivan Raab, the California Golden Bears have been finding success in Pac-12 play and tonight, the Golden Bears have a distinct advantage over the Stanford Cardinal as they play on their home court. Can Cal seal the deal with a win and a cover?

Stanford Cardinal (11-9, 3-5) vs California Golden Bears (14-6, 5-3) Big Game For Both Teams

With a win over USC to their credit, California really need's a win here where their long term goal are concerned. This is certainly a winnable game and although it wouldn't be considered a "quality win", it would definitely look better than a 7th loss on their resume. The same thing goes for Stanford, who is facing double-digit losses with a loss tonight. Stanford's only legitimate chance to make the NCAA Tournament is to go on a major run or win the Pac-12 Tournament. That said, a win here would be huge for the Cardinal, but not likely to happen.

Ivan Rabb

In order for the Golden Bears to cement a victory tonight, 6 foot 11 sophomore Ivan Rabb must provide a strong effort. For the season, Rabb is averaging 15.1 points and 10.6 rebounds. This is a player that I particularly like and think would have success at the next level with some more time.

He can basically do it all except shoot 3- pointers. Rabb has played relatively well, but did come up short in a big spot 2 games ago as he had 4 points on 2 of 10 shooting from the field in a blowout loss to a ranked Oregon squad. While Stanford isn't at the same level as the Ducks, they're a desperate team and Rabb will need to bring his "A-Game" tonight and I expect him to do so and lead the way for Cal.

Let's not forget, this is a Stanford team which has won 3 out of their last 4 games. They're coming off of a disappointing loss to the same Oregon Ducks. With their star Reid Travis out indefinitely, the Cardinal will need Dorian Pickens (12.8 points, 4 rebounds) to play a lot better than he has recently.

In his last 2 games, Pickens is averaging 7 points on 3 of 14 shooting from the field. Without a legitimate go-to guy, the Cardinal will find it difficult in dealing with California.

California really needs this game and against an inept Stanford offense, they should pick up the win and cover in the process.
