The South Carolina Gamecocks, who have had a rather easy schedule, look to dive in into the AP top 25 as they face their toughest test with the Clemson Tigers. Check our NCAA basketball pick.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Under 134
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST tonight at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. At 5Dimes and as I stated, the Gamecocks are a mere 2.5 point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 134 on the NCAA basketball odds. This is a huge game for both teams as a win would look good on either of these team's resumes.

The Gamecocks have had a really easy time of it lately. In their last 3 games, they've held their opponents to an average of 56.6 points per game while managing to win by double-digits.

No "I" In "Team"
South Carolina isn't a team with a legitimate superstar, but every single game, someone different has stepped up and it doesn't hurt that their top 3 players all shoot over 50% and their top 6 scorers all shoot 30% or more from 3 point territory. Having various offensive options makes a team so much more deadly.

Even though the level of their opponents has been low, one concern for the Gamecocks has been the play of their top 2 scorers in Mindaugas (13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 63% from the field) and Laimonas Chatkevicius (13 points, 4.3 rebounds, 58% from the field). In their last two games, neither of these players has failed to reach the 10 point mark. This could be a concern as the level of opposition skyrockets in tonight's game.

Sindarius Thornwell
Although Thornwell is a below 40% shooter from the field, he's a multi-faceted player that makes South Carolina's offense run smoothly and he's been a major producer for the Gamecocks as of late.

For the season, Thornwell averages 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. He's seen a lot of playing time in his last 3 games and has had double-figures in each game, averaging 12.7 points per game and being a significant threat from 3-point range. Look for Thornwell to keep producing while attempting to set up South Carolina's top 2 scorers, who have been struggling as of late.

The underthe total is looking really good in this game as we have two teams that have been "holding it down" defensively. In their last 4 games, Clemson hasn't allowed an opponent over 56 points in a single game.

Jaron Blossomgame
Jaron's game certainly has been "blossoming" (no pun intended) throughout his collegiate career. He's a player that can play both ends of the court and is Clemson's "go to guy" in attempting to deliver the Gamecocks first loss of the season.

For the season, Blossomgame is averaging 16.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 57.6% from the field. Blossomgame is a much needed source of rebounding with legitimate size as Clemson is a weak rebounding team and he also has an outside game.

Just like South Carolina's leading scorers, Blossomgame has had a couple of weak efforts as of late; one due to a blowout and sitting on the bench and one was a poor shooting effort in a low-scoring loss against a good defensive Alabama team. While I look for Blossomgame to bounce back, this game has UNDER the total written all over it.
