We’re going to look at Saturday night’s college basketball game between NJIT and Kentucky. Go inside to read our revealing betting preview article which includes an NCAA Basketball pick.

NJIT at Iconic Rupp Arena on Saturday Night
Kentucky will host New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on Saturday. The opening tip at Rupp Arena in Lexington is slated for 8:00 PM ET. Current NCAA Basketball odds at The Greek have Kentucky listed as a 23-point favorite.

Don’t Underestimate the Highlanders
NJIT will hope to replicate what they pulled off last season when they upset both Michigan and Duquense. They also nearly knocked off Marquette on the road as well. The Highlanders return 81.4 percent of its minutes and 86.5 percent of its points from last season. NJIT finished 21-12 a season ago, and advanced to the semifinals of the postseason tournament.

Quick Turnaround for Wildcats
Kentucky opened their season last night at home and came away with an unimpressive 78-65 win over Albany. They turned the ball over 20 times during that victory and didn’t come close to covering as a 22.5 point favorite. The Wildcats lost their top seven scorers from last season’s “Final Four” team. However, what seems to be the theme at Kentucky under John Calipari, they’ve brought in what’s expected to be another star studded freshmen class.

Final Thoughts and Pick
This game will be much closer than many would expect it to be. It would be insane to predict an outright upset since Kentucky is 103-4 at Rupp Arena under Calipari. That being said, I like NJIT to keep this game inside the large number for one of my NCAA Basketball picks on Saturday.
