Check out our favorite NCAA Basketball picks for this afternoon's matchup between Ohio State and Iowa as Big Ten play continues on this action-packed Saturday.

Odds Overview
After reviewing SBR's live college basketball odds, you'll notice that the lines are incredibly tight, as the Hawkeyes are favored by just a solitary point despite having the distinct advantage of being on their home floor.

The O/U depends on which sportsbook you're using, but we've seen a number right around 138 (138.5 at Pinnacle). Ohio State has been one of the more efficient teams offensively this season, but will they be stifled by Iowa on the road? We'll have to wait and see.

Iowa Hawkeyes
There's nothing too negative to say about Iowa's season so far. The Hawkeyes are 12-5 overall and so far they've won three of their first four games in conference play. They overcame this same Ohio State team, as well as Nebraska and Minnesota, with the one loss coming at home versus Michigan State.

Most recently, Iowa barely got past the Golden Gophers in what could turn out to be a crucial road win. The Hawkeyes shot 52.1 percent overall and were able to hold on for the win despite blowing a sizable lead they had built up. It was Jarrod Uthoff that led the way for Iowa, scoring 22 points to go with five rebounds, four assists, four blocks and a steal. Aaron White and Peter Jok each scored 13 points apiece, while Adam Woodbury put up nine points and eight boards in the W.

Uthoff has been a solid piece for Iowa this season, but it's White that's been doing the most work - he's averaging 15.8 PPG and 7.1 RPG, both of which are team highs. The senior is going to be instrumental to the Hawkeyes' potential success against a familar foe in Ohio State.

Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes are 14-4 overall this season and have gone 3-2 in conference play. They've beaten Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan and lost to Iowa and Indiana. They have to be feeling pretty darn confident after thumping the Wolverines their last time on the court, however.

In that 71-52 home win, Ohio State locked in defensively and held Michigan to 33.9 percent shooting. For the Buckeyes offensively, D'Angelo Russell was the main man, scoring 21 points while chipping in six assists, four rebounds and four steals. Sam Thompson and Amir Williams each scored in double figures too, as Ohio State shot 49.1 percent overall to lead them to one of their most impressive wins of the season.

Will we see momentum kept up this afternoon? Playing on the road in conference action is never easy, especially for a team that hasn't traveled very much so far this season. They've only took part in three road contests this season, losing two of them.

NCAA Basketball Pick
At these short NCAA basketball betting odds, we're going to lay the tiny number and back the home team.

The Buckeyes have been formidable offensively, but we like the appealing price on an Iowa team that's been more than holding its own in Big Ten play so far. We really like what we've seen out of White and Uthoff especially. If you've read our picks in the past, you also know we like battle-tested squads, and Iowa has certainly not taken the easy road in terms of competition. They'll be prepared.

So, seeing as the Hawkeyes have already gotten the better of Ohio State team once this season, we like them here this afternoon. Back the home team with your sports picks and look for them to earn another hard-fought Big Ten victory. Best of luck with your NCAA Basketball picks!
