We have seen a number of wild Saturday's in college basketball this season. For those betting basketball in has been either - Boom of Bust - and early Saturday afternoon we could see another such contest.

No.2 Villanova makes the trip over to Seton Hall for a FOX nationally televised game as 12:30 ET. For Seton Hall (16-9, 10-13-1 ATS), this could be defining game as most "bracketologists" have the Pirates in the field right now, but a loss here and one more against either Xavier or at Butler might mean Seton Hall would have to win the Big East tournament to get in.

What Does Seton Hall Have to Offer

The college basketball odds will have the Pirates as the home underdog and that will be only the second time this season they will be the case, having fallen to Butler 61-54 as two-point dogs on Jan. 25th. Overall, Seton Hall is 10-1 and 5-5 ATS on their home floor and they have a terrific trio in guard Khadeen Carrington (17.6 PPG), forward Desi Rodriguez (15.5) and big man Angel Delgado (15.2), who happens to be nation's leading rebounder at 13.2 per contest.

Coach Kevin Willard is dependent on this threesome in his seven-man rotation and to engineer the upset, these players will have to carry the load.

Villanova is Thin But Knows How to Win

The defending national champions have proven all year they are not going to go quietly. At 25-2 (12-13-1 ATS), Villanova has taken everyone's best shot and time and again come out on top when the game was on the line.

It starts with guard Josh Hart (18.7 PPG), who plays with as big a heart as any player in the country. Need a big basket late in the game, a steal or a rebound, Hart is the guy. Coach Jay Wright has developed a culture of the players playing for themselves and this unity goes across the entire team, with unselfish individuals like Jalen Brunson (14.3), Kris Jenkins (13.0) and Mikal Bridges (10.7).

Though the Wildcats do not have a true big man in the middle like last year's title team, Villanova only permits 62.1 PPG, with opponents only converting 41.3 percent of shot attempts.

What To Expect in This Big East Battle

The official odds will not come out until sometime late Friday afternoon, but my numbers suggest Villanova will be a five to seven point road favorite. The 'Cats mashed Seton Hall in previous game 76-46, thus, one would expect the Pirates will be ready to go all out, given their tenuous bubble status.

Obviously the Pirates will have to shoot better than the 29.1 percent they did in the last contest and have more defensive fervor. When looking to make college basketball picks, if Seton Hall is five to seven point underdog, I can see them covering the spread, but falling just short in the win column to arguably the mentally toughest team in the country.
