Free NCAA Basketball Pick: Arizona Wildcats -2.5
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

?Arizona (16-3, 4-2)
Arizona Wildcats are riding high in Pac-12, sat pretty in second place behind Washington with a 16-3 mark overall and a 4-2 mark in conference games. As it is, they have the best overall straight up mark of all the Pac-12 teams but on the strength of their conference account they are in second place. Washington 5-1 mark has them sat above Arizona in the standings.

The Wildcats are riding a three-game winning streak into Saturday’s clash with the California Golden Bears, looking to extend their winning form to four in a row as the meaningful road favorites.

NCAA basketball odds boards opened with the Arizona Wildcats as the 3-point road chalk at Pinnacle, but the NCAAB line quickly dropped to just 2.5-points on the heels of early betting action. That line seems to be holding strong at most sports betting shops with only a few such as The Greek offering the visitors on a 3-point spread.

The Wildcats are after wins over Washington, WSU and Stanford, a run of three straight up wins and covers as the 14-point faves, 18-point faves and 5.5-point faves. They improve to 11-8 ATS with a 15.7-point winning margin and a plus 2.4-point differential versus the spread.

California (13-6, 3-3)
California Golden Bears are enjoying a solid 13-6 season but a 3-3 mark in Pac-12 has them sat in 7th place in the standings. Most recently, the Golden Bears were buoyed by a 75-70 win over ASU that snapped a three-game losing streak. They’ll be looking to build on that momentum when they welcome the Wildcats in Saturday’s late NCAAB game on the menu, closing the day’s round of sensational basketball betting.

Against the spread, the Golden Bears sport a 9-10-0 mark with a 9.3-point winning margin and a negative 0.6-point differential against the spread. At home, they are a positive 7-5-0 ATS with a 17.1-point winning margin and a plus 2.0-point differential versus the spread. In conference games, they are 3-3-0 ATS with just a 2.8-point winning margin and a negative 0.5-point differential versus the spread.

This is the first time this season the Golden Bears are matched as the home underdogs. Of course, it’s not surprising given the quality of the opponent and the meaningfulness of the game – the premium on the win couldn’t be greater towards the broad spectrum of Pac-12 standings. As such, the Golden Bears are sure to rise to the challenge and give the Wildcats a run for their money. In the last three games, the Golden Bears have played their Pac-12 opponents close, but not close enough to cover: they lost to Oregon 68-65 as the 3.5-point underdogs, Oregon State 77-71 as the 2.5-point faves and Stanford 77-71 as the 3.5-point faves.

NCAAB Betting Verdict
Based on current form and team trends, the Arizona Wildcats emerge as the attractive NCAA basketball pick as the nominal 2.5-point road faves. Granted this is a Pac-12 clash and it should be a close one, but look for the Wildcats to pull ahead of the hosts towards a solid win and cover.
