Gonzaga has a tremendous ATS record when coming off a loss since last season, which provides it betting value against Washington State Wednesday night.

Still Figuring Things Out
Washington State is 4-4 SU and 2-6 ATS through the first eight games of the Ernie Kent era, which is important to consider when making your NCAA  basketball picks, as he’s enjoyed coaching success at his previous two stops of Saint Mary’s and Oregon.

The Cougars are certainly playing a challenging schedule in non-conference play, as they’ll play seven games away from Pullman before hosing their fourth home game of the 2014-15 campaign on Dec. 21. Over the last two-plus seasons, the squad is 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS as road underdogs of 12.5 or more points, with the UNDER going 4-2-1 in that situation.

Sweet Home Spokane
Gonzaga owns the nation’s second-longest active home winning streak at 30 games, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NCAA basketball odds. Gonzaga looks to bounce back from a 66-63 overtime loss to Arizona as 4.5-point road underdogs last Saturday.

The Bulldogs possess one of the more efficient offenses in the country—ranking third in averaging 19.9 assists per game, while shooting a blistering 54.5 percent from the field. It’s important to point out that the program is 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS as home favorites of 18.5 to 24 points in its last seven opportunities.

A Tall Order
The Cougars own a 98-50 all-time advantage in this in-state rivalry, but they’ve dropped 12 of the last 15 meetings, including the last two played at Spokane Arena.

Washington State needs a huge performance out of senior DaVonte Lacy, who ranks third in the Pac-12 Conference in averaging 18.5 points per game.

Bring It On
The Bulldogs are certainly capable of covering this large point spread if guard Kevin Pangos continues his strong play in this rivalry, as he’s averaged 22.7 points and 4.7 assists in winning his three prior meetings.

Pangos has knocked down 15 of 26 shots from beyond the arc over that period of time, while also connecting on 88.2 percent of his tries at the charity stripe.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Bulldogs as one of their top against-the-spread picks, as they’ve covered the number in nine of their last 11 contests following a SU loss.
