Betting total tend to get overlooked where NCAA Basketball is concerned. With a ton of games on tap this Thursday, I intend to provide the betting public a couple of the best betting totals of the night as we look to profit going into the weekend.

Auburn vs. LSU
A Battle Of the Tigers At the Maravich Center
This is not college football as Auburn comes into this game on a 4 game losing streak, courtesy of interconference play. This is an Auburn team which is a double- digit dog and doesn't have the offensive capabilities of keep up with an efficient LSU Tigers team.

In Auburn's last 3 games, they've averaged under 60 points per game. Auburn also isn't a deep team offensively as their 3 leading scorers, KT Harrell, Antoine Mason, and Cimmeon Bowers, account for 44.6 of the team's 66.7 points per game. This isn't an efficient team as they shoot a mere 40% from the field and have a difficult time going up against some of the better teams in the conference. There's not much else to say. They're one of the worst assist-getters in the nation and are also a poor rebounding team. As the betting odds stated, LSU should have their way with the Auburn Tigers in this game.

Although LSU is coming off of a 73-67 loss to Mississippi State, they're a far superior team to that of Auburn as they're one of the best rebounding teams in the country at 40.4 rebounds per game. while averaging 74.5 points and being a team that shoots and passes efficiently. There will be no second chances for the the Auburn Tigers as LSU controls the tempo of this game.

Despite the inner-presence of forward, Jordan Mickey, who is coming off of a 25 point, 20 rebound game against Mississippi State, look for this to be a low scoring game. While LSU will get their points with the combination of Mickey and Jarell Martin, the total is placed too high for an inept Auburn offense to cover it, so make the under your NCAA basketball pick.

Iowa vs. Michigan
A Must Win Situation

If either of these teams expect to go anywhere in March, they will need to be near perfect and a win tonight is mandatory.

Iowa is coming off of 3 consecutive losses and 2 of those games were against Wisconsin. I don't know what the schedule makers were thinking as these were two automatic "L's" for the Hawkeyes so close together.

In these 3 games, the Hawkeyes averaged just 58.7 points per game. Even though this isn't related to the total, the one positive thing that I will say about Iowa is that they have some very big wins attached to their resume with victories over North Carolina, Iowa State, and most recently, Ohio State. The negative part of their season is that they picked the wrong time to play poorly with March Madness around the corner. Odds makers also don't think much of Iowa as Michigan was created a slight 1.5 point favorite and they don't expect a lot of points to be scored with the total being listed at 122.5.

Under Appears To Be the Play. Where the total is concerned, Michigan screams the under. In their last 6 games, the Wolverines have had 3 wins in which they scored under 60 points, a loss to Ohio State in which they managed 52 points, and 2 overtime losses to Wisconsin and Michigan State in which they managed 64 points and 66 points respectively. This is not a high powered Wolverines offense. They're a poor rebound team, and a poor shooting team at a mere 41.6 % from the field.

The Wolverines are without their leading scorer Caris Levert (14.9 ppg.) and Derrick Walton Jr. (10.7 ppg.) Zak Irvin will lead the way on a team which lacks depth, but Michigan is just looking to make this a competitive ball game. With all of the absences and lack of stability on the Wolverines squad, this is a contributing factor to why this game goes under such a low total.
