Butler vs. North Carolina

Friday, 7:09 PM ET

Although Butler’s first 2 March Madness results don’t appear overly impressive, the Bulldogs were very sharp during both wins. They were in full control from start to finish against Winthrop, and the 76-64 final score wasn’t nearly as close as it indicates. Even so, they still covered as a 10.5-point favorite I thought Butler was even better in their next game against a vastly underrated Middle Tennessee State team that entered the contest with an outstanding 31-4 record. They defeated the Blue Raiders by 9 while easily covered as a 2.5-point favorite.

There’s no doubt that North Carolina is the more physically imposing and athletic team in comparison to Butler. Nevertheless, Butler isn’t in awe of being on the big stage. As a matter of fact, Butler is a perfect 6-0 ATS in the NCAA Tournament since 2015.
