With just 2 games on the NBA schedule for Thursday, NCAA Basketball takes away some of the spotlight as we're nearing the very important month of March. Tonight, there are a large number of games to choose from when looking at the betting totals in seeking a tidy profit. Let's get to work with our picks.

San Diego Toreros vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

A Regular Occurrence For Gonzaga
The Bulldogs have turned their program into a yearly powerhouse and the question is "Will this be the year that Gonzaga takes it a bit further in March Madness?" Being near the top of the AP Poll is nothing new for Gonzaga, but they haven't been able to go as deep into the post-season as they have wanted despite posting near flawless regular season records.

Although their level of opponent leaves a lot to be desired, Gonzaga is once again one of the most productive offensive teams in the nation, averaging 79.7 points per game on 52.7% shooting from the field, which is tops in all of college basketball. The Zags are led by the powerful punch of Kyle WIltjer and Kevin Pangos.

For the season, both players are shooting 46% from 3-point range or better. These are both players that shoot a high percentage from the field and are also 80 plus% shooters from the free throw line. The West Coast Conference are no competition for this dynamic duo. We'll just have to wait and see how they fare against some of the better teams in the country.

Wiltjer leads the Broncos at 17.4 point and 5.8 rebounds per game and is coming off of a monster 45 point performance against Pacific on February 19th. I don't expect him or the rest of the Bulldogs to have a problems scoring against a much inferior San Diego team. This game is all about the San Diego offense where the total is concerned as the betting total is correctly placed by NCAA basketball odds makers.

In their last 5 games, the Toreros are 5-3 and are coming off of 2 disappointing losses. That said, they haven't scored below 60 points in any of those games. Shooting guard, Johnny Dee, leads the way at 17.8 points per game and is nearly automatic from the charity stripe at 92.4 % for the season. Dee has had 3 -20 plus point performances in his last 5 games and I expect him to get his points here despite the Toreros being an 18 point underdog. Look for this game to go over the total as the Toreros will do just enough and we know that Gonzaga will do their part.

Arizona Wildcats vs. Colorado Buffaloes

An " Easy One" Before the Pac-12 Tournament
Arizona should have no problem in this game as they're a double-digit betting favorite against a Colorado team that would have to win the Pac-12 Tournament to make NCAA tournament and that isn't going to happen. The 'over' looked like a sure bet in this one as Arizona had scored 86 points or more in their last 3 games, but then had a power outage in a 57-47 victory over UCLA.

In this game, the Wildcats shot a mere 34% from the field and 23% from 3-point range. This is definitely a concern even though they face a much inferior opponent in Colorado. Colorado has failed to crack the 70 point mark in their last 6 games while losing 5 out of these 6 games. These teams have met earlier in the season as Arizona won 68-54 and I expect to see more of the same in this game.

Colorado is led by senior, Askia Booker, who averages 17 points per game, but Booker is shooting under 40 % from the field this season and is coming off of an awful 2 for 14 shooting performance against Oregon State in a 72-58 loss.

In his last 4 games, Booker has failed to shoot anywhere near 50%, shooting 16 for 61 from the field. This just won't cut it against Arizona. Arizona can win high scoring games and they can also win in a low scoring affair as they did against UCLA despite an outstanding effort by Bryce Alford. Look for this game to go under the total with your college basketball picks.
