One of the most interesting games on tonight's slate is the Ohio State Buckeyes at the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Ohio State has surprisingly had a difficult time in dealing with Big Ten squads as they've lost 4 out of their last 5 games. In their most recent game, they bounced back with a 72-67 victory against Michigan State. Does OSU have enough ability to sustain an attack against the Nebraska Cornhuskers?

Ohio State Buckeyes (11-7) vs Nebraska Cornhuskers (9-8)A Defining Moment

Make no mistake about it, the Ohio State Buckeyes are a team that should make the NCAA Tournament, but this is the type of game that they need to win, especially after their "feel good" 72-67 win over the Spartans.

Despite losing 2 straight games against Michigan and Northwestern, Nebraska has been very good against the spread and odds makers aren't giving the Cornhuskers much respect in this matchup as they're a 1 point betting favorite. Nebraska is a team that's proven that they can defeat tough competition as they recently defeated both Indiana and Maryland.

Containing Tai Webster

If the Buckeyes are to have any chance of winning this game they must find an answer in containing senior guard, Tai Webster. Webster has consistently played well all season, leading the Cornhuskers at 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.

In his last 5 games, he's averaging 21.4 points per game and is coming off of a huge 28 point, rebound effort in a 6 point loss against Michigan. This was a game in which Webster really looked for his offense, attempting 20 shots and Nebraska still came up short. Ohio State is desperate and will be bringing their "A-Game" and Webster will need to do the same.

Big Win For OSU

Although Michigan State isn't as good as they were in the past, this was a team that was 4-1 in inter-conference playing coming into the OSU game and the Buckeyes prevailed with their 1st win in the conference. All 5 OSU starters recorded double figure points, led by JaQuan Lyle's 22 points and the Buckeyes kept their turnovers to a minimum (11).

A similar complete team effort should get the job done here as this is a team that's gained a bit of confidence. Jae'Sean Tate (14.1 points, 6.3 rebounds) and JaQuan Lyle (12.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.3 rebounds) need to remain consistent as senior Marc Loving has been struggling as of late. Loving is averaging just 8.6 points on 7 of 24 shooting in his last 3 games. Ohio State has just enough talent to get the job done here and at desirable odds.
