It doesn't get any more difficult than Kansas' schedule as of late, and the Jayhawks came away with wins over AP Top 25 teams such as Kentucky and Baylor, but were stunned in their last game against Iowa State. Tonight, they visit the rival Kansas State Wildcats in what should be a very winnable game.

No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks (20-3, 8-2) At Kansas State (16-7, 5-5)

According to odd makers, the Jayhawks are mere 3-point betting favorite on the road against a slightly inferior squad in Kansas State. Granted, Kansas is just 7-14 ATS this season, but this is a squad that's beaten Duke, Kentucky and Baylor, and have beat the Wildcats earlier this season.

While KSU did give Kansas a run for their money, my cash is on Kansas in this spot as Frank Mason III has been an unstoppable force all season long. A lot of bettors might be swayed by Kansas State's recent 56-54 victory over Baylor, and that could carry them a long way where seedings are concerned for the NCAA Tournament, but this is still a squad that has lost 3 out of their last 4 games, 5 out of their last 8 and just .500 in conference play.

While Kansas State lacks a definitive go to guy, the Jayhawks have 2 players who can be counted on during crunchtime in the form of the senior guard Mason III (20.4 points, 5.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds) and freshman Josh Jackson (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists). At 5-foot-11, Mason III is an efficient shooter that should have a spot waiting for him at the next level. It's only a matter of time before Jackson plays at the next level, but at the collegiate level these two players pack a heavy 1-2 punch.

Mason III is among the best 3-point shooters in college basketball, averaging a sizzling 52.5% from beyond the arc. This is basically an undersized player who can do it all, and in the loss to Iowa State he did it all as he finished with 32 points on 9 of 11 shooting from the field, 4 of 5 from 3-point range to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mason III has played very aggrsssively as of late. In his last 2 games, he's 22 of 24 from the free throw line and this is against top-level competition. Expect this sensational senior to make a major impact in tonight's game.

For Kansas State to have a chance in this game, the Wildcats need their leading scorer Barry Brown (12.2 points) to come up with solid offensive effort. Brown has really struggled as of late, averaging 5.5 points on 33% shooting in his last 2 games. While Brown is a hard-nosed defender, he and the rest of the KSU squad will need to put up points in this game to match Kansas.
