Our college basketball expert Ross Benjamin has gone 12-5-1 ATS the last seven betting days with his underdog NCAA basketball picks. Go inside for Tuesday’s two best plays.

Kent State vs. Central Michigan 7:00 PM ET
Central Michigan is 12-9 overall and 5-3 in the MAC. They’re a veteran team that’s been very good at home this season. However, they’re a substandard club on the boards, and have a -4 rebound per game differential during its previous five games. That’s not good news considering Tuesday’s opponent (Kent State) is a +4 on the season, and +7 over their last four contests.

Kent State has their six game road winning streak stopped in a loss at Ohio in their previous outing. That also halted a five game overall win streak and also made them a stellar 8-2 in its last ten contests. Kent State backers can take solace in knowing that their team is 4-1 this season following a loss.  The Golden Flashes are a quality MAC team that’s 15-6 on the season, and has faced a fairly tough non-conference schedule. Kent State has been stout defensively of late, holding their previous five opponents to a combined 39.8% shooting from the floor.

I firmly believe this game will go right down to the wire, and an outright win by the underdog isn’t out of the question. That certainly would be a feather in my cap if that did indeed occur. As always I’ll refrain from being greedy, and graciously accept the points for one of my Tuesday's NCAA basketball picks.

Georgetown vs. Butler 7:00 PM ET
Butler is a solid team that’s been ranked in the Top 25 for several weeks this season. However, I’m not very fond of their recent performances. They’ve gone 3-6 in their last nine games. The only three wins during that time frame came against St. John’s and versus DePaul on two separate occasions. Those two teams are currently 1-17 this season in Big East play.

As I mentioned on a couple of occasions in recent betting preview articles, the only thing consistent about Georgetown this season has been their inconsistency. They’ve lost five games at home this year, but are a very respectable 4-3 SU&ATS in true road games. The Hoyas are 3-0 following its last three losses. Just two weeks ago they had a huge road win against #6 ranked Xavier 81-72 as a 9.5 point underdog. I’m looking for a similar type effort at Butler on Tuesday.

Current NCAA basketball odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.
