The Arizona State Sun Devils have piled in 86 PPG through their five victories, while cashing at NCAAB betting windows with a 3-1 ATS mark. As heavy favorites against the Marquette Golden eagles will they be added to our NCAAB picks this week?

Sun Devils, Carson edge Bradley

Arizona State last saw action in Friday’s 70-58 victory over the Bradley Bears, falling shy of collecting a 16 ½-point home favorite set for them in the NCAAB odds. The Sun Devils connected from the field at 48.1 percent, while outrebounding Bradley, 32-25.

Sun Devils mates Jahii Carson and Jonathan Gilling united for 33 points, while logging five assists each. Arizona State’s Jordan Bachynski notched a fifth straight double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 boards.

The battle’s combined 128 points plunged below the ‘total’ of 152 ½, moving the UNDER to 3-1 in ASU’s last four games. Bachynski added five of his side’s seven blocks, while the Sun Devils sank 11-of-14 free throws.

Eagles, Otule slide past UNH

Marquette dropped to 0-2 ATS in Thursday’s 58-53 victory against the New Hampshire Wildcats, failing to cash as 20-point home ‘chalk.’ Both teams shot below 35 percent from the floor, while the Golden Eagles were held to a 3-for-22 mark beyond the arc.

Eagles center Chris Otule put up 16 points, with mates Jamil Wilson and Juan Anderson grabbing five rebounds each. Wilson added three steals and two blocks, while logging a 2-for-9 night of field buckets.

Marquette saw a 14-point lead in the second half drop to a 53-49 edge with 46 seconds remaining. Eagles guard Todd Mayo hit three free throws for late insurance, finishing with a 7-for-8 outing at the charity stripe.

Back ASU as home ‘chalk’

Sportsbooks opened Arizona State as a six-point home favorite, with initial wagers on the Sun Devils lifting the number a ‘hook’ to 6 ½. Both squads resume action in Thursday’s Wooden Legacy, with Marquette battling Cal State Fullerton and ASU meeting Creighton.

I am tailing the early ‘steam,’ laying the points with Arizona State as part of Monday’s NCAAB picks.

ASU has held visiting foes to 58.2 PPG at home, with Jordan Bachynski leading the Pacific-12 Conference in blocks (4.4 BPG) and ranking second in rebounds (12 RPG). The Sun Devils also answered the bell in Tuesday’s tough test against the UNLV Rebels, rallying in the second half for an 86-80 win as five-point road ‘chalk.’

Marquette has struggled in its last two affairs, with a trip to Tempe not making matters any easier for Buzz Williams’ crew. The Golden Eagles fell flat in last season’s first true road spot, dropping an 82-49 contest as 10 ½-point dogs against the Florida Gators.

Otule was held scoreless on that occasion, with he and his mates connecting from the floor at a subpar 41.2 percent clip. Marquette has logged a 1-5-1 spread record in its last seven non-conference games, while Arizona State is 10-1-1 ATS in its last dozen matchups that came after missing a pointspread cover.

Look for the Sun Devils to pull off a sizable win, building some final momentum into this week’s tourney trip, be sure to add them to your NCAAB picks this today.
