The No. 2 Wisconsin Badgers will play a virtual home game against the No. 7 Oregon Ducks Saturday, as the two teams prepare to fight for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Let’s take a closer look at the NCAA Tournament odds for this Third Round matchup in the West Region at the Bradley Center, with the opening tip scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET on CBS.

Quite a performance
Wisconsin posted its largest margin of victory in NCAA Tournament play Thursday, as it advanced past American University with a 75-35 win as 13.5-point favorites, while going UNDER the betting total of 119.5.

The Badgers have now moved past their opening game for the 11th time in 13 years under head coach Bo Ryan in this event.

It’s important to point out that the program has covered the number in five of its last six games on a neutral floor.

Winning meaningful games
Oregon has now won NCAA Tournament games in consecutive seasons for the first time in school history, as it tallied a 87-68 victory over the BYU Cougars as 4.5-point favorites Thursday.

The Ducks have now compiled a 15-10 SU all-time record in this event, which was made possible by sophomore forward Elgin Cook scoring a career-high 23 points.

College basketball handicappers will find that the team is 20-7-1 ATS in its last 28 non-conference affairs.

Home court advantage
The Badgers are going to be a popular play in the market Saturday night, considering Milwaukee is a short drive from their campus in Madison.

Wisconsin will feel right at home in this venue, which could lead to some calls going its way down the stretch—an important factor due to its ability to get to the free throw line and also defend without fouling the opposing team.

Bench play
The Ducks definitely have a deeper bench than the Badgers—a factor that was clearly evident in their reserves scoring a season-high 49 points versus the Cougars.

Oregon has plenty of firepower to match Wisconsin on the perimeter, as it ranked 29th nationally in shooting beyond the arc.

I’ve developed a handicapper line favoring the Badgers by three points, which means that sports bettors should back the Ducks in the market.

Keep a close eye on the SBR Odds page, as I believe this number could reach five or higher due to the public falling in love with Wisconsin playing close to home.

Pick: Oregon Ducks +4.5
