Georgia Bulldogs vs. #5 Kansas Jayhawks

CBE Hall of Fame Classic

Battle-Tested

Nobody can say that the Kansas Jayhawks have had an easy schedule thus far as they've faced the Indiana Hoosiers and the Duke Blue Devils. With a huge victory over the #1 Blue Devils, Kansas is playing with a ton of momentum and that victory goes in their back pocket at the end of the season when the seedings begin.

Kansas must worry about the present and although Georgia has had quite an easy schedule. They possess the double-headed monster of Yante Maten (20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks) and J.J. Frazier (18.8 points, 4 assists, 3.3 rebounds). Both of these players carry a great amount of success throughout their collegiate careers and are well-rounded players that can play outstanding defense as well as being efficient on the offensive end. Kansas could have their hands full with this duo as Georgia is currently on a 3 game winning streak since their opening season loss to Clemson.

Frank Mason III

The Jayhawks are a far superior team to that of the Georgia Bulldogs with their team depth but make no mistake about it, senior guard Frank Mason III is the main option on this very talented basketball squad.

Mason III is a big game player as his two best games of the season came against Indiana and Duke. He lit the Hoosiers up for 30 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds in a 103-99 overtime loss in the season opener and that basically set the tone for his play. Mason III is a multi-faceted player that can rebind, shoot well, pass efficiently, and play lockdown defense. Let's remember, he's only 5 foot 11, 190 pounds, but carries much more "weight" in this game. While Maten and Frazier are a combination to be reckoned with, Kansas has dealt with the elite teams and with success. Look for the Jayhawks to be successful for you NCAA basketball pick.
