The last game of the night features a red hot Cincinnati Bearcats team, who are eager to slip their way into the AP Top 25. Today they face the Bowling Green Falcons Who despite a 3-4 record, they've won 3 straight games. Can the Falcons keep pace with the Bearcats as a massive betting underdog?

Bowling Green Falcons vs Cincinnati Bearcats

Momentum For Both Teams

I mentioned the modest 3 game winning streak that Bowling Green was on, but that was against low-level opponents. We take a look at the Bearcats and they're on a 4 game winning streak and are coming off of a 55-54 victory over the 19th ranked team in the nation in Iowa State.

It certainly wasn't an outstanding performance from an offensive standpoint for the Bearcats. They committed twice the amount of turnovers that ISU did. The Bearcats also shot a dismal 35.5% from the field and just 14.3% from beyond the arc. That said, the bottom line is their defense played outstanding and the win is all that matters in the end. Their offense will need to improve, but they find themselves in an easy matchup against Bowling Green in which they're an enormous betting favorite. Against Bowling Green, it won't come down to who wins the game, it will come down to does Cincy cover the spread?

 Jacob Evans and Kyle Washington

These two players represent the two major sources of offense on this Cincinnati squad. While Washington brings a rebounding presence as he's averaging a near double-double, Evans is a great two-way player that will make the opposition work for their buckets.

For the season, Evans is averaging 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. As for Washington, he's averaging 16.3 points and 9.4 rebounds  Washington has produced a double-double in 5 out of 7 games this season. Another strength of these two stars is their ability to be efficient and not force the issue with their offense. I look for them both to have big games against Bowling Green as both players scored in double figures despite Cincinnati managing just 55 points in their win over Iowa State.

For Bowling Green, Zack Denny (12.1 points, 5.7 rebounds) hasn't met a shot that he doesn't like, but his sub-40% shooting from the field can hurt the Falcons in a game such as this. Leading scorer, Wes Alcegaire has been inconsistent in the early stages of this season but is coming off of a 20 point performance against Notre Dame College. The problem for Bowling Green is that the Bearcats are far superior to that of Notre Dame College. Looking for Cincinnati to cover in a romp for my NCAA basketball pick.
