NCAA basketball features an absolute track meet on when Yale visit the USC. The Trojans have been one of the surprise teams this year but it looks like the program is starting to turn around.

NCAA college basketball odds
NCAA Basketball Odds Makers have set a really high total for this game at 146 like at Bookmaker -110. I believe we are going to see a really high-scoring contest so for my NCAA pick today I will be backing the over with Yale and USC. This should be up tempo the entire game

Yale Bulldogs
Yale is averaging 72 points per game while shooting 42.9% from the field, and allowing 67 points per game on 42.5% shooting from the field. They have had a tough schedule so far this year but this is a pretty talented team that went 22-10 last year. They return last year's Ivy player of the year, Justin Sears, and have some nice complementary players. Pushing tempo is not really in their wheelhouse but defensively they do allow teams to get up and down the floor. On the offensive end they are a subpar team in efficiency but they do hit the glass hard averaging 42.6 rebounds per game which ranks 25th in the country. On the defensive side they are going to struggle today stopping a USC team that is running on all cylinders, and I anticipate they will go ahead and get out and run with the Trojans. Against up tempo teams they have struggled allowing 80 points to Duke and 88 points to Albany, but they have also at times done their own damage scoring in the 70s versus some lesser competition as well as 69 and 61 versus SMU and Duke respectively.

USC Trojans
The Trojans are averaging 82.3 points per game while shooting 45.6% from the field, 70.6 points per game on 38.5% shooting from the field. Head coach Andy Enfield seems to have this team right where he wants them and things are starting to look up for USC basketball. They are probably still about another year away from really contending but this team is talented and they love to get up and down the floor. On the year there averaging 64.3 field goal attempts per game, and allowing 65.6 from the competition. That can lead to some really high scoring affairs in which we have seen with the Trojans. What is probably most impressive about this young team is how unselfish they are and are willing to spread the wealth with six players averaging double figures so far this season. Although statistically they have some pretty decent defensive numbers I expect Yale to hang with them enough to get is over this total.

This has track meet written all over it and for one of your NCAA Basketball Picks I recommend taking the over with the Bulldogs and the Trojans. Expect USC to push the tempo the entire game and for Yale to do enough to keep up with them. This will be a high-scoring affair that should go well over the total.
