The Indiana Hoosiers have lost 10-straight games against the Wisconsin Badgers, as the two teams prepare to face off Tuesday night at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Let’s take a closer look at this Big Ten Conference matchup from a NCAA Basketball betting perspective.

Off to a perfect start

Wisconsin has started 3-0 in the Big Ten Conference for the first time since the 2008-09 campaign, as it comes off a 74-51 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as 6.5-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total for a third consecutive contest. The Badgers are 19-23 against the spread (ATS) versus conference opponents since 2010, with the OVER going 24-18 in that situation.

Big win last time out

Indiana picked up an impressive 88-81 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers as eight-point home favorites Saturday, while going OVER the total for the first time in three affairs. The Hoosiers are 23-11 ATS at home over the last two-plus seasons, including a 3-1 ATS mark when favored by 9.5 to 12 points.

Series domination

Sports bettors need to realize that the Badgers have dominated this series when looking over the NCAA Basketball betting odds, as they’ve won 10 consecutive games versus the Hoosiers—winning those contests by an average of 15.0 points per game. Wisconsin is also the only team in history to beat Indiana four consecutive times at Assembly Hall.

Balanced attack

The Hoosiers lead the nation in averaging 87.1 points per game, which has been made possible by being the only conference member with five players averaging 11 points or more per game. Sophomore star Cody Zeller leads the way in scoring 16.6 points per game, while also being named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week for his efforts against the Golden Gophers and Penn State Nittany Lions.

Hitting the road

The Badgers are always a solid option playing at the Kohl Center when making your sports picks, but they’ve also done quite well away from home since 2001. Since the hiring of head coach Bo Ryan, Wisconsin owns the most road wins (63) and best road win percentage (.504) in the conference. It’s still important to note that the team is 11-14 ATS away from Madison over the last two-plus seasons.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Hoosiers as one of their NCAA basketball picks Tuesday, as they’ve compiled a money-making 18-8 ATS record as a home favorite since 2010. The Badgers will fall to 0-3 SUATS as underdogs this year.
