Ever since their lone loss of the season to Kansas at Madison Square Garden, the Duke Blue Devils have bounced back quite nicely and look to blow the "icing" off of this "cupcake" in the form of the William& Mary Tribe. Can the Blue Devils cover the big number?

Easy Come, Easy Go

Rhode Island head coach Dan Hurley has fought hard for 4 years and has finally gotten his Rams team into the AP Top 25, but it may be a short-lived stay as the Duke Blue Devils do what they almost always do and that's outdueled their opponent. In this case, the Blue Devils came away with a hard fought 78-68 victory. It's their first of many victories against a top 25 squad this season. Tonight, sophomore Luke Kennard and company have an easier task as they're a 23 point betting favorite against the Tribe.

Rough Start For Grayson Allen

Kennard has been a big game player thus far for Duke this season as he's managed to score 20 points or more in each of Duke's top 25 matchups. He's coming off of a masterful 24 point, 7 rebound performance in which he shot 8 of 11 from the field including 4 of 5 from 3 point range. This is a much-needed offense as Grayson Allen has gotten off to a real slow start to the season.

People were expecting the Naismith Award as a possibility for Allen, but in the first 5 games of the season, he's averaging just 15 points and 6 rebounds on 34.4 % shooting from the field. This couldn't have been expected as Allen is a 20 plus point scorer. Look for Allen's numbers to go up, but in the meanwhile, players like Luke Kennard and Amile Jefferson (13 points, 10 rebounds) are there to shoulder the load. This could be another low scoring output for Allen as this appears to be a possible blowout and that means that the Duke starters playing time will get cut.

As for William & Mary, they've already gotten a taste of top 25 actions as they faced the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals proceeded to crush the Tribe, handing them their only loss of the season, 91-58. With no major go-to guy offensively, for our NCAA basketball pick we can expect another beating as Duke wins this easily.
