NCAA Basketball Pick: Northeastern Huskies vs. Towson Tigers

VCU Rams vs. Dayton Flyers

Oddsmakers have yet to release the total for this matchup, but when we look at the spread we see the Flyers favored by a basket on their home court.

Heading into tonight Dayton is 13-5 SU and a very profitable 9-5 ATS, while VCU is 14-4 SU and 6-10 ATS.

The Rams are playing pretty good basketball at the moment. Though there's one setback in there at George Washington (66-76), they've still managed to win six of their last seven contests overall.

It's been somewhat more of a struggle for Dayton, who have lost two of their last three ahead of tipoff this evening. They fell to Saint Louis at home by eight and then lost 64-73 on the road to Richmond, with a comfortable win at Fordham sandwiched in between.

The Flyers own a nice balance to their offensive game and that's one of the reasons we like them in this spot tonight. They have five different players who average at least 8.3 points per game, with Jordan Sibert, Dyshawn Pierre and Devin Oliver leading the way. Sibert (45.8 percent from three) is a streaky shooter who can get hot at any given time.

Meanwhile, VCU hasn't been too performing too well on the road lately, losing each of their last two games (George Washington, Northern Iowa) away from home. The Flyers have great home support and will try and make life difficult on the Rams.

This will be one of Dayton's biggest tests of the season, but we expect them to deal with VCU's intense pressure and do enough to get the victory at home.

College Basketball Pick: Dayton Flyers -2

Duke Blue Devils vs. Miami (FL) Hurricanes

The Blue Devils hope to build off consecutive conference wins when they travel to do battle with Miami-Florida tonight. The college basketball betting odds have Duke favored by five points for now.

Duke has looked good in recent wins over Virginia (69-65) and NC State (95-60). Against the Wolfpack, five different Blue Devils scored in double figures, with Jabari Parker pacing the victors with 23 points and seven rebounds.

Those two recent wins have kept Duke undefeated at home (11-0 SU) this season, but their struggles outside of Cameron Indoor are well-documented.

Coach K's crew has lost both of their two road contests while going a mediocre 3-2 SU on neutral courts. They're going to have to figure out a way to handle these tough environments soon, with March fast approaching.

The Hurricanes are an even 2-2 SU (3-1 ATS) in ACC play so far, with wins over UNC and Georgia Tech and losses to Syracuse and Florida State. However, Miami (FL) is just 4-4 SU (1-4 ATS) on their home court this season.

While the Hurricanes do have talent like Rion Brown, Donnavan Kirk and Garrius Adams, it's Duke that's the more talented team.

The Blue Devils have struggled on the road this season, but their past experiences and recent strong play should give them the confidence needed to get the job done in Miami tonight. Take Duke to cover the number for your free college basketball picks.
