NCAA Basketball doesn't stop as we have some holiday hoops. There's a few games out there in which the bettor has the edge an we're going to provide our free NCAA basketball picks.

Monmouth Hawks vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
I definitely like the spread in this contest as Monmouth is just a 9 point underdog and should be more. NCAA basketball odds makers are going off of the Hawks early season upset of the UCLA Bruins, 84-81 to start off the season.

The Notre Dame defense must make it a priority to contain Monmouth leading scorer, Justin Robinson, as Robinson is averaging 24 points, 3.3 assists and an amazing 4.3 steals per game. Obviously this kid can play both ends of the court and create havoc.

If the game becomes tight, he's also automatic from the free throw line, shooting 92.9%. Robinson's one weak game was a 16 point performance in which he shot poorly against UCLA. The test for him will be playing against the higher level schools where talent is concerned.

Scoring is not an issue for a deep Monmouth team which averages 85 points per game and does not turn over the basketball.

Auguste and Jackson
As for the Fighting Irish, they also average 85 points per contest and have destroyed the competition, winning by 25 points or more in 2 games. It is Monmouth who has had the more difficult schedule thus far, but the Hawks haven't had to face the combination of Demetrius Jackson and Zach Auguste.

Combined, this deadly duo has averaged 37.7 points, 14 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 3 steals per game, Both men are shooting 60% or morefrom the field.

The key to this game for the Hawks is stopping this twosome. Although Notre Dame hasn't faced the best, these players are amongst the elite in College Basketball and this game will hinge on their play. Will they be thinking about a late Turkey dinner or will they be concentrated about the game in hand?

Regardless, 9 points is very low and a powerhouse such as Notre Dame should be able to stop a gamed team like Monmouth at a neutral site.

Santa Clara Broncos vs. Arizona Wildcats
This game is a matter of how much will Arizona win by as you have two teams that are on two completely different levels. Arizona is a heavy 22.5 point betting favorite in this matchup and quite frankly, 22.5 points seems small.

Will Ryan Anderson Return?
Everything is pointing to Anderson returning according to head coach Sean Miller and that definitely will have an effect on the outcome of the game. The senior forward, not to be mixed up with Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans that drains the 3-ball, is a walking double-double at 13.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Arizona won handily without him against Northwestern State in their last game, a 61-42 victory, but having Anderson in the lineup will put this out of reach much quicker.

Gabe York
Another senior, guard Gabe York, has stepped up his offense a notch as he's been a pivotal part of Arizona's first 4 wins. For the season, York is averaging 16 points per game and is shooting 50% from the field. Look for York to play well here as Arizona can't look ahead with a pending matchup against the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Worse Than Kobe Bryant?
As for Santa Clara, Jared Brownridge is the only consistent source of offense as they make frequent substitutions. Brownridge might be leading the team at 15.4 points per game, but is shooting just 27.9% from the field. That's actually worse than Kobe Bryant. Look for Arizona to crush the Broncos, take them as the NCAA basketball pick tonight.
