The updated rankings are out, meaning it's time for us to take a closer look at who's moved up and who's moved down. Is your team on the list?

NCAA Basketball: Top 25 Report

The new AP Poll was early Tuesday released, with Indiana claiming the number one spot. Let's go over the top dogs right now to help determine who might continue to beat the NCAA basketball odds.

#1) Indiana Hoosiers

We're not so sure the Hoosiers are wanting any part of the number one ranking. It seems like every team that gets that honor almost immediately loses.

That could’ve very easily ended up happening again, as Indiana will faced an extremely difficult test on the road against the Spartans, who were ranked in the top five. This win on Tuesday night for the Hoosiers could be a gigantic step in their quest to win the Big Ten title.

#2) Miami (FL) Hurricanes

Apparently the Hurricanes aren't sneaking under anyone's radar anymore. They've now won 14 straight games and remain undefeated in ACC play, with highlight wins over Duke, North Carolina and NC State.

This Miami team has all the pieces to keep piling up the wins and then some. Durand Scott, Shane Larkin, Kenny Kadji and Reggie Johnson are all averaging in double figures this season and they kept the momentum rolling when they edged out Virginia on Tuesday night.

#3) Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are another team that has quietly built up an impressive resume. They've lost just two games all season long and have yet to be beaten in conference play either.

We knew Elias Harris and Kevin Pangos were talented, but it's the emergence of Kelly Olynyk that has really ignited this Gonzaga team. He's averaging 18.0 PPG and 6.9 RPG on the season, while shooting a ridiculous 64.9 percent from the floor.

#4) Michigan State Spartans

There's a reason Tom Izzo is so highly respected in the basketball world. The man simply knows how to build winning teams.

He's done a terrific job once again, with Michigan State having won five consecutive games before last night and 11 of their last 113, including that blowout victory over Michigan. Their only conference losses you ask? Well, those came against the Hoosiers and on the road against Minnesota?

#5) Florida Gators

One of our favorite teams to watch this year has been the Gators, who remain one of the favorites to win the national championship come March.

Aside from a road loss to Arkansas and a close loss last night to a tough Missouri squad, Florida has been completely tearing every other team up in the SEC. It makes us wonder how far down the Gators will drop?

The Rest

Rounding out the top ten are Duke, Michigan, Syracuse, Kansas and Louisville.

Teams that have made sizable jumps in the poll include the Jayhawks, as well as Georgetown and a newcomer in VCU who lost to Saint Louis last night and will drop back out.

The Jayhawks have righted the ship nicely after losing three in a row, taking care of both Kansas State (83-62) and Texas (73-47) with ease at home. As for the Hoyas, they're getting fantastic production out of Otto Porter, who's led the team to seven straight wins, a streak that includes victories over the likes of Louisville, Cincinnati and Notre Dame.
