Our very own college basketball analyst shares his top three underdog picks on today’s slate. Join us in reading this revealing betting article that will assist you in making a profit on Wednesday.

Dayton vs. St. Joseph’s 6:00 PM ET
St. Joe’s has been very good to me this season, especially when they’re on the road. The Hawks are 8-0 SU&ATS in true road games this season. However, at home they’ve gone a mediocre 6-6 ATS, and have lost three games on their home floor.

Dayton enters today with a superb 21-3 record and is rated 15th in the country. The Flyers have been especially lights out over their previous five games, shooting 50.7% from the floor, and converting on 40.8% of its three point attempts. Their play defensively during that same time span has been outstanding, allowing just 57.0 points per game, holding opponents to 37.7% shooting, and only 13 free throw attempts per contest.

Current NCAA basketball odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Villanova vs. Temple 7:00 PM ET
After getting off to a 4-5 start, Temple has gone 12-3 in its previous fifteen games. The Owls have been a huge money maker as an underdog this season, going 8-2 ATS in that role, and it includes 6-0 ATS during their previous six.

I could write an entire article pertaining to the accolades of this season’s Villanova team. However, rather than concentrating on their entire body of work which has been superb,  my only concern is whether or not they can cover this sizable number today. The Wildcats have gone just 3-8 ATS over its last eleven games. Part of being ranked so high nationally is having the proverbial target on your head on a daily basis, and getting your opponents best shot. The other factor that comes along with that notoriety is being overvalued in certain situations. I do believe both of those aforementioned points will come into play today.

I’m siding with the home underdog for one of my Wednesday NCAA basketball picks.

Duke vs. North Carolina 9:00 PM ET
After going through a stretch in which they lost four of five games, and dropped out of the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2007, Duke has rebounded to win their last four in a row. The Blue Devils last two wins have come over #7 Virginia and #15 Louisville.

North Carolina enters this huge rivalry game having gone 2-2 in its last four games. One of those two victories came during a narrow escape by just a 3 point margin at Boston College, and that was a game in which they closed as a 20.5 point favorite. Granted they’ll be very motivated against such a bitter rival, but the Tar Heels certainly haven’t played at a high level on a consistent basis of late.
