Last year, San Diego State had to share the Mountain West Conference title. The Aztecs can keep it all to themselves this season with a win Wednesday at Wyoming in a payback game. Here are my top three picks on Heritage's NCAA basketball odds.

San Diego State vs. Wyoming (+4)
The Aztecs (20-7, 13-1) were heavy favorites to win the Mountain West this season; an upset home loss late last regular season to Boise State forced SDSU to share it with the Broncos in 2015. "On the picture we have to stand there with Boise State. I don’t want to have to do that this year," SDSU's Winston Shepard said to the San Diego Union-Tribune on Sunday. San Diego State currently has a four-game lead atop the MWC -- that's the biggest conference lead in all of Division I. So even if clinching outright doesn't happen on Wednesday, it's going to eventually. The Aztecs clinched at least a share with a 78-56 win at San Jose State on Sunday. Shepard had 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. He was the first player at the school to reach at least all those numbers in a game in nine years. Malik Pope had his first career double-double with a season-high 17 points and career-best 11 rebounds. The Aztecs have now won at least 20 games in 11 straight seasons. That's tied for the sixth-longest current run in the country. Wyoming (13-15, 6-9) can only play spoiler and look to improve its seeding for the MWC Tournament. The Cowboys have the nation's fourth-leading scorer in Josh Adams, who averages 23.9 ppg. He had 37 points and a career-high nine 3-pointers in Saturday's 84-66 win at Colorado State. Wyoming lost in San Diego 67-55 on Dec. 30. But in last year's MWC Tournament final, the Cowboys upset the Aztecs 45-43. Back San Diego State, which still remembers that bitter tournament loss. The Aztecs are 5-2 ATS in their past seven road games. Wyoming is 0-4 ATS in its past four after a win.

Tennessee vs. South Carolina (-9)
South Carolina (22-5, 9-5) still  has designs on the SEC regular-season title, although the best-case scenario is likely going to be sharing it with at least Kentucky. The Gamecocks ended a two-game losing streak with a 73-69 home overtime win over Florida on Saturday, snapping a five-year winless streak vs. the Gators. Michael Carrera led USC with 20 points, 15 rebounds (tied career high), three steals and three blocks. In his first start of the season, Duane Notice had eight assists and four rebounds. USC was 5-for-6 from the free-throw line in the final 90 seconds of overtime, while Florida didn't have a single OT attempt from the line.  USC's 22 wins are its most in 10 years and the nine SEC victories are the most in seven. The Gamecocks are going to catch a nice break as here Tennessee's Kevin Punter Jr., the SEC's second-leading scorer at 22.2 ppg, is expected to miss a second straight game with a stress fracture in his right foot. The Vols (13-14, 6-8) were able to win without him Saturday, 81-65 vs. LSU. Armani Moore stepped up with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Tennessee is a very good team at home but  just 1-12 away from Knoxville. Take South Carolina at -6.5 NCAA Basketball odds. Tennessee is 0-6-1 ATS in its past seven after a win. USC is 14-3 ATS in its past 17 at home.

Northwestern vs. Michigan (-8)
The Wolverines (19-9, 8-6) are projected as a No. 10 seed currently in the NCAA Tournament, but they will go right to the bubble with a home loss here in Big Ten action. Right now UM is listed among ESPN's last four byes in the Big Dance. The team is trending the wrong way with back-to-back losses. But Michigan did play well Sunday in losing 86-82 at No. 6 Maryland. The Terps' Melo Trimble made two free throws in the final seconds to seal the win. UM star Caris LeVert missed his second consecutive game with a lower left leg injury. It has been very mysterious what has been going on with him all year with vague answers from the coaching staff. The senior has missed 13 games overall and the Wolverines are just 7-6 without him. LeVert, who averages 16.5 points, 5.3 assists and 4.9 rebounds, is doubtful for this one. Northwestern (17-10, 5-9) will remain the only Power 5 Conference team to never play in the NCAA Tournament, but at least a 20-win season is attainable and probably an NIT berth. The Wildcats have lost seven of their past  nine. This is their only scheduled meeting with Michigan. Last year, the teams split two very close games with each winning at home. Bet Michigan with your NCAA Basketball picks. NU is 1-4 ATS in its past five vs. teams with a winning record. Michigan is 5-2 ATS in its past seven after a loss.
