Here are my top three NCAA basketball picks after analyzing and breaking down BetOnline NCAA basketball odds. Don't miss the best plays for Wednesday and earn some cash tonight.

Virginia Tech vs. Notre Dame (-12 On NCAA Basketball Odds)
This sets up as potentially a huge letdown game for the Irish (12-5, 3-2 ACC). That's because they are off a 95-91 win at Duke and that's a recipe for flat effort in this one -- even though beating Duke apparently isn't all that tough these days. Still, it was Notre Dame's first-ever win at Cameron after getting thumped by 30 there last season. One of the best games you will ever see from a reserve came in that one as Irish forward Benzie Colson had 31 points (career high) and 11 rebounds off the bench. Essentially, three Irish guys beat the entire Duke team as Demetrius Jackson had 24 points and Steve Vasturia 22. The rest of the team had 18 points. It was the most points the Irish have scored since joining the ACC. It was their most points scored in a conference road win since 2009. And it was the school's first road win over a Top 10 team since 2011. So, yeah, there's nowhere to go but down vs. the Hokies. Virginia Tech (12-6, 4-1) has been a big surprise thus far. But is the team good or lucky? All four ACC wins could have been losses: 73-68 in OT over NC State, 70-68 over then-No. 4 Virginia, 93-91 against Wake Forest, and 78-77 at Georgia Tech. And for a point of comparison, Tech got blasted at Duke 82-58 on Jan. 9. Against the Jackets on Saturday, Tech rallied from a 10-point hole with 4;23 left to snap an 18-game ACC road losing streak. Notre Dame has won five straight vs. Tech, but the teams have played only twice in the ACC.

The Hokies are 6-1 ATS in their past seven ACC games. The Irish are 0-4-1 ATS in their past five at home.

No. 15 Miami vs. Boston College (+15 In NCAA Betting)
The Hurricanes were one of three teams in last week's Top 10 to lose twice, along with Duke and Michigan State. UM lost 66-58 at No. 13 Virginia last Tuesday, and that was to be expected. But not the 76-65 loss at Clemson on Saturday. The Canes were outscored 25-8 over the final seven minutes. One of Miami's best players, guard Angel Rodriguez, was just 1-for-7 for three points. He has really struggled in ACC play. In 12 of Miami’s 13 victories, the Canes have outscored their opponents by double digits. Miami (13-3, 2-2) hasn't started 0-3 on the road in ACC play in five years. Boston College (7-10, 0-4) looks easily like the ACC's worst team. It has lost every conference game by at least 17 points. Last time out, the Eagles were bombed 84-61 at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Eli Carter scored a season-high 31 points in the loss. He rarely gets much help. BC's bench was outscored 33-6. Miami has won the last 10 games in the series, but Boston College's two losses last year were only by an average of 3.5 points. With the available lines in the NCAA basketball odds boards, go with Boston College.

The Canes are 1-5 ATS in their past six after a loss. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the past seven meetings.

Wichita State vs. Northern Iowa (+7 For NCAA Basketball Picks)
What's up with Northern Iowa? The Panthers (10-9, 2-4 Missouri Valley Conference) have wins over two of the most talented teams in the nation in ranked North Carolina and Iowa State. But UNI also has conference losses to Southern Illinois, Missouri State, Indiana State and Loyola of Chicago. That 51-41 loss to Loyola over the weekend, not a good team at all, snapped Northern Iowa's 14-game home winning streak in conference play. Loyola's bench outscored UNI's bench 26-2. The Panthers managed just 19 second-half points and the 41 total points scores was their fewest ever in the McLeod Center. UNI's shooting percentage of 27.1 was its worst since 2012. Wichita State (12-5, 6-0) is now healthy and playing to expectations. All but one of the Shockers' MVC wins has been by at least 16 points. Overall, Wichita State has won 10 of its last 11 games, with its only loss in overtime at Seton Hall on Dec. 19. The Shockers have won seven of the last nine meetings against Northern Iowa. But WSU's lone conference loss of the past three seasons was at Northern Iowa last year. UNI, then ranked 18th nationally, defeated the 12th-ranked Shockers 70-54 on Jan. 31, 2015. The loss snapped WSU's modern conference record 27-game MVC winning streak.

Northern Iowa seems to play to its competition, so take the points for your NCAA basketball picks. UNI is 12-4-1 ATS in its past 17 at home. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the past seven meetings.
