College hoops presents a long slate for tonight, and I have taken the time to select the three best matchups. Don't miss my preview and get my NCAA basketball picks for the day.

No. 23 Oregon vs. No. 18 Arizona (-7.5 On NCAA Basketball Odds)
Oregon (16-4, 5-2) returned to the Top 25 on Monday thanks to home wins over then-No. 21 USC and UCLA last week to stay unbeaten at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks beat the Bruins 86-72 on Saturday. Oregon led by 10 at the half and committed only one turnover after intermission and outrebounded the Bruins 16-8 in the second half to keep them at bay. Dillon Brooks led Oregon with 25 points, one shy of his career high. Chris Boucher tied his career best with 18 points and had 10 rebounds and four blocks. He leads the nation with 65 blocks. Arizona (16-4, 4-3) fell in the new polls because of a 74-73 loss at California on Saturday. Bears star freshman Jaylen Brown hit one of two free throws with 18.4 seconds left to give Cal the lead. The Wildcats got the ball into the hands of the guy they wanted, Gabe York, with a chance to win. But York fumbled the ball at first and then missed a driving shot in traffic. York finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Wildcats coach Sean Miller remains stuck on 299 career victories. As noted above, Arizona has won 49 straight at home and has been killing people in Tucson this season. The closest win has been by 12 points. Arizona has played two home conference games and destroyed both Washington, which is tied atop the Pac-12 with Oregon, and Oregon State. The Wildcats were 3-0 vs. the Ducks last year, including winning by 34 in Tucson.

The Cats are 7-1 ATS in their past eight at home. They have covered eight of their past 11 overall vs. teams with a winning record.

Cincinnati vs. Connecticut (-2.5 In NCAA Betting)
Both these American Athletic Conference teams were ranked at one point this season but they are each squarely on the NCAA Tournament at-large bubble now. They are also two of the best defensive teams in nation, with UC first in the AAC in allowing 62.4 points per game and UConn second at 62.6. Cincinnati (15-6, 5-3) really doesn't have a win it can hang its hat on yet. The Bearcats won their second straight on Sunday, beating visiting Tulane 97-75 to give Mick Cronin the 200th win of his coaching career at Cincinnati. UC made its first 11 shots, jumped out to a 27-5 lead and never looked back, leading by as many as 40. Shaq Thomas and Gary Clark each scored 17 to lead the Bearcats. UC isn't a good offensive team but shot 56.5 percent from the field. It was the school's largest margin of victory in AAC play this season. UConn (14-5, 4-2) stepped out of conference on Saturday and beat visiting Georgetown 68-62. Rodney Purvis' two free throws with 17.7 seconds were the clincher. The Huskies had 29 points from the free-throw line and Hoyas just seven. This game is at UConn's off-campus home at the XL Center in Hartford. The Huskies are 5-1 there this season. UConn was 2-1 vs. the Bearcats last season, winning at home and in the AAC Tournament.

So, for your NCAA basketball picks, take UConn (and 'under' whatever small total it will be). Cincinnati 1-4 ATS in its past five following an ATS win. UConn is 7-1 ATS in the past eight meetings.

No. 25 Notre Dame vs. Syracuse (-2.5 For NCAA Basketball Picks)
This might have been a pick'em or even Notre Dame as a slight favorite in the NCAA basketball odds boards if not for the fact that the Irish's best player, junior guard Demetrius Jackson, will miss the game. Jackson hurt his hamstring early in Notre Dame's blowout of Boston College on Saturday. An MRI showed nothing serious, but Notre Dame wants to ensure Jackson is healthy for the stretch run of the season, so he might miss more than one game. He leads Notre Dame in scoring (16.6 ppg), assists (5.0, second in ACC) and adds 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. The Irish (14-5, 5-2) have gotten into the Top 25 thanks to a four-game winning streak. They lead the nation in offensive efficiency (123.1 per 100 possessions) and giveaways (9.2 per game). Syracuse (13-8, 3-5) had a three-game winning streak end in a 73-65 loss at ranked Virginia on Sunday. The Orange have one of the most promising freshmen in the country in Malachi Richardson and he had 23 in the loss. SU upset the ranked Irish 65-60 in South Bend last year. Syracuse is 3-3 vs. ranked teams this year. Just one was at home, an 84-73 loss to North Carolina.

The Irish have covered only two of their past seven following a win. The Orange are 4-0 ATS in their past four. SU is 5-2 ATS in the past seven meetings.
