It's slim pickings tonight, but we still feel confident in both of our recommended college basketball picks. Who do we like to cover in tonight's WCC action?

St. Mary's Gaels vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

In tonight's West Coast Conference tournament semi-final, the Bulldogs will enter as the favorites in the college basketball betting odds.

Right now you can find Gonzaga favored by anywhere from six to seven points, with the total at 130. The Bulldogs are 26-6 SU and 15-14-1 ATS this season, with St. Mary's sitting at 22-10 SU and 14-15 against the spread.

In the conference tournament, the Gaels started out with a relatively easy 80-69 win over Pepperdine in the quarter-final. Brad Waldow had a game-high 21 points and both Beau Levesque and Stephen Holt contributed 15 points in the winning effort.

The Bulldogs had a much more difficult time in their quarter-final matchup. They needed a layup from David Stockton in the closing seconds to get the win, a shock considering they were favored by 12.5 points by oddsmakers ahead of tipoff.

Gonzaga got a great game out of Sam Dower, who had a 23/4/3 line, while Przemek Karnowski came up big too with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Bulldogs shot 53.3 percent overall, but turned the ball over 16 times and struggled defensively as well.

Despite a shaky effort on Saturday, we look for the Bulldogs to win and cover tonight. They've dominated the Gaels on two occasions this year, beating them by 21 at home and by 28 on the road.

The Bulldogs got a scare in the opening round and we think that will be the wakeup call they need ahead of this semi-final. They've been a class above St. Mary's this season and we see them proving that true once again tonight.

College Basketball Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs -6

San Francisco Dons vs. BYU Cougars

In the other semi-final, BYU and San Francisco will do battle in Las Vegas. Currently the Cougars are favored by 5.5 points on the college basketball betting odds board and they take a 22-10 SU record and 13-16 ATS mark into this showdown. The Dons are at 21-10 SU and a much more profitable 17-11 ATS.

To get here, BYU beat Loyola Marymount 85-74, while San Francisco got the best of San Diego in a 69-60 win.

The Cougars won both regular season meetings between these teams, getting the 83-76 victory (-4.5 favorites) on the road before winning by five (68-63) in the rematch at home. San Francisco (+11.5) got the cover in that one though.

Which side do we think holds the better value with tonight's basketball picks?

Tough call. Both teams are playing great basketball and come into this one full of confidence. Growing winning streaks are both on the line, as well as a spot in the WCC final, and ultimately we see value in backing San Francisco.

The Dons have been lights out defensively over the last few weeks, holding opponents to an average of 59.0 points over their last five appearances. They've also got the shooters (Cole Dickerson, Avry Holmes, Tim Derksen, Mark Tollefsen) to keep up with the Cougars. Holmes has been particularly dangerous.

With San Francisco coming close without any reward in previous meetings with BYU, we look for them to be even more motivated tonight, especially with a spot in the final on the line. Look for the Dons to be prepared for this one and to do enough to get the cover as underdogs.

College Basketball Pick: San Francisco Dons +5.5
