Today, we're going to look at some appealing betting odds on totals for some of the college games that are available to bet and look for the edge while taking home the money.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane (17-6) vs. Connecticut Huskies (13-9, 6-4)
Backs Against the Wall
For Kevin Ollie and his Connecticut Huskies team to have any chance of an NCAA Tournament post-season, they will need to win at least 6 out of the remaining 8 games on their regular season schedule or win the AAC Tournament for an automatic bid. While it doesn't seem likely, I've seen some recent Connecticut teams with players like Kemba Walker and Shabazz Napier do the impossible.

Leading scorer, Ryan Boatright, and the Huskies face a very good Tulsa team tonight at home. This is Tulsa squad which has beaten Connecticut before. UConn is a 4 point betting favorite, but we're concerned with the betting total which is low at 121. Both of these teams have ordinary offenses, averaging in the 60's (points) per game, but it's the defenses that might determine the outcome here.

Tulsa has an outstanding defense and has won 12 out of their last 13 games. In these 13 games, they have held their opponent to under 60 points on 9 occasions. 2nd leading scorer for the Golden Hurricane, Shaquille Harrison, is a well rounded basketball player that can play outstanding defense as well as offense and will be a key player to watch in this game. Along with 2 steals per game, Harrison is averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

Ryan Boatright
On the Connecticut side, Ryan Boatright has a great amount of championship experience and is the leader of this team. Boatright is coming off of a game in which Connecticut defeated Tulane and Boatright led the team in points, assists, and rebounds. If anyone can manage to get Connecticut to the post-season, it's Ryan Boatright. I also think that Tulsa won't have an answer for Boatright, especially as UConn has the home court advantage. The betting total is place a bit too low to stop Connecticut. Take the over as your college basketball pick.

Loyola Marymount Lions (8-17, 4-9) vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs (24-1, 12-0)
Total Mismatch

This sure isn't the Loyola Marymount team of decades past with the late Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble that used to score 100 points per night in Paul Westhead's fast paced offense. In fact, this isn't even a winning team anymore as the Lions have had particular trouble in their own conference.

Things will only get worse as they face one of the best teams in the nation in the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are always known for having outstanding regular seasons and then falling apart in the NCAA Tournament. I think that this year's team might surprise some people and is one of the Bulldogs better teams as they're presently ranked 3rd in the nation and only have one loss attached to their resume.

Top-Notch Offensive Squad
The Bulldogs are a team that can shoot the ball with efficiency. They rank number 1 in the nation at 53.2% from the field while also averaging 80.7 points per game.

NCAA odds show little faith in Loyola Marymount and expect a blowout as the betting total is placed rather low for a Gonzaga game. If this game becomes a serious blowout, that is the only way that the total goes under. Gonzaga has a red hot big man in Kyle Wiltjer, who is averaging 25.5 points in his last 2 games on 17 of 28 shooting from the field. Wiltjer can also nail the 3-ball.

In their previous matchup, Gonzaga defeated Evan Payne and the Lions,72-55. While LMU won't blow the betting total out of the water, look for a higher scoring game as that game simply wasn't their best. Both of these teams have the capability of eclipsing the 134 point mark.
