While there's still a ton of mismatches on tonight's NCAA Basketball odds, there's plenty of opportunity to captialize on these games as we provide our betting picks for the public and expect a major profit.

Bucknell Bison (1-1) vs. Villanova Wildcats (2-0)

Progressive Legends Classic
The Bison will have to play a lot better than they did in a 77-53 loss to Michigan as they're a 20 point betting underdog and the total for this game is 138.5.

Even though Villanova put up 81 points on Maryland Eastern Shore, this is a team that believes in playing tenacious defense. The Wildcats held the Hawks to just 14 1st half points and 34.2 % shooting from the field and 22 turnovers overall. This is also a team that held Lehigh to 23 turnovers. Head coach, Jay Wright, believes that a strong defense leads to opportunities and that was certainly the case for Nova as they held a couple of cupcakes in check.

After a poor shooting performance in their opener, the Wildcats had a strong offensive game against Maryland Eastern Shore. Villanova typically isn't a strong offensive team but the shots were falling against the Hawks as they shot well over 50% from the field. This is a team with a ton of experience and although they rely heavily upon senior JayVaughn Pinkston, each starter was relegated to around 20 minutes in their last game.

Dylan Ennis has been the big surprise as he leads the Cats at 14.5 points per game. The Wildcats, to sum it up, play as a collective team; Numbers don't matter. It's the tough defensive play that will help this veteran squad get deep into the NCAA Tournament come March.

Bucknell is also a team with no prolific scorer. They go about 8 players deep with 6 players averaging 7.5 points or more. Junior, Charlie Hass hasn't shot particularly well, shooting under 40% from the field, but he has been the go to guy for the Bison thus far as he put up a 21 spot on Michigan.

I don't expect Hass to score 20 points against Villanova as he and the Bison are facing the best team in the Big East Conference and more importantly, one of the best defensive teams in the country.

Nicholls State Colonels (0-1) vs. UCLA Bruins (2-0)

Point Scoring Machine
Even though the Bruins are unranked and beat the Coastal Carolina by just 13 points in their last game, odds makers expect the Bruins to go big tonight as they're a 27.5 point betting favorite at Pauley Pavilion against their opponent, the Nicholls State Colonels. UCLA is averaging a massive 98.5 points and have shot over 50% in their first two games. Will the Bruins lay an expected beating on the Colonels?

The Bruins are a very young team with a good pedigree. Freshman, Kevin Looney, has made an immediate impact on this squad averaging 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds and will be interesting to see Looney progress as he plays some of the better teams in the country and also participating in the tough Pac-12 inter-conference games. In the meanwhile, look for the freshman to dominate teams like Nicholls State.

Chip Off the Old Block
UCLA is very strong at the point guard position as Bryce Alford has raised his level of play in his sophomore campaign. Alford is averaging 17.5 points and 9.5 assists per game. Just like his father, former University of Indiana player and NBA player Steve Alford, Bryce can shoot the lights out. Unlike his dad, he's very unselfish and he'll have to be as UCLA currently has 6 players averaging 9 points or more

For Nicholls State, they came out on the short end of the stick in a 71-57 loss to North Texas. Freshman, Ja'Dante' Frye, got off to a quick start to his collegiate career with a 14 point effort, but the Colonels have little ammunition to stop the offensive machine known as the Bruins.
