Let's cap off the week with some successful selections as we pick out our best bets in NCAA Basketball odds on Sunday.

Georgia Tech vs. NC State

The Yellow Jackets got an impressive win on the road Tuesday night when they upended Boston College 68-60 (and easily covered as 4 ½ point road underdogs in college basketball odds) on their home court located in tony Chestnut Hill.  It was a sharpshooter's delight as Tech drilled over 53% of their three-pointers and shot 52.1% from the field.  Team scoring leader Trae Golden, averaging 14.1 points per game, dropped 24 points on the Eagles and was instrumental in holding off BC's late rally by scoring eight of those points in the final two minutes of play.

The Wolfpack snapped a three-game slide when they hosted Maryland as 2-point home dogs in college basketball odds and won outright, 65-56.  Though NC State did not have the greatest night shooting, it was their solid defense that prevailed even without the ACC's leading scorer TJ Warren.  Warren was ruled out due to an ankle sprain he suffered against Duke but will be in uniform tonight when they tip off against visiting Tech.

If you go back to the pair of games these two played last season NC State defeated Georgia Tech by 13 points on both occasions (and covered both contests in NCAAB odds).  The Wolfpack is back home where they have registered a 9-4 mark and now have TJ Warren back in the fold.  In his absence NC State was forced to create a more balanced attack and got solid efforts out of guards Ralston Turner and Desmond Lee.  Neither team is even close to be considered an offensive powerhouse but NC State will have more options available against a battered and bruised G-Tech squad.

Illinois vs. Indiana

There's a battle in the Big 10 brewin' and it's taking place in Bloomington which can't be anything but good news for the Hoosiers who are 10-2 straight up at home but are only 5-6-1 ATS in college basketball odds.  When last these teams met, the Illini scored a narrow 83-80 victory at home and made the sportsbooks look prescient by pushing as three-point home chalk

Illinois has lost their last five games and failed to cover in all but their last game, a 62-55 loss to Ohio State as 11-point underdogs.  Indiana has lost four of their last six but their most humiliating loss was as 13-point home favorites hosting Northwestern and falling before their home crowd, 54-47.

I'm not sure about you but neither team overwhelms me but the reason I have selected the Fighting Illini as one of my Sunday selections is the 6-point head start they are generously given by the oddsmakers.  I am not seeing a nine-point turnaround from their last meeting, even though it did take place in Champaign.  I look for this to be a close contest throughout between two teams struggling to get back on the winning track.  No clear favorite here so grab the points with Illinois for your NCAA Basketball Picks.

California vs. UCLA

I'm going to give you the quick down and dirty on this Pac-12 showdown.  UCLA is 8-3 ATS over their last 11 home games and hold a 12-1 home mark straight up.  The home team has covered the number in four of the last five meetings between the two schools.  U Cal is 4-5 straight up and ATS on the road this season and looked dreadful in their last game, a 77-69 loss as 8 ½ point road  favorites to USC.  Let's play the club that's rolling and has rolled against this California team.
