Apparently the NCAA basketball powers decided not to schedule any good games opposite NFL action Sunday as UConn is the only ranked team in action & plays a cupcake, here are my top picks.

Pittsburgh Vs. Davidson (+4.5 on NCAA Basketball Odds)

This is the conclusion of the Gotham Classic and is being played at Madison Square Garden. Both these teams also played Eastern Washington, Morehead State and Western Carolina in this event. Pittsburgh (8-1) has really only played one team that's any good and that was home to Purdue on Dec. 1 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge and the Boilermakers won that by 13. Pitt has been off since a 72-62 win over Morehead State last Sunday. The Panthers used an 11-0 run in the first three minutes of the second half to take an 18-point lead. Pitt, leading the ACC in scoring at 87 points per game, failed to hit the 80-point mark for just the second time all season. Pitt is 20-4 in the month of December over the past four seasons. Jamie Dixon owns a 77-11 mark in the month for his career. The Panthers are  271-59 against unranked opponents under Dixon, including an 8-0 mark this season. Davidson (7-1) has won two straight blowouts since its only loss, by 33 at North Carolina. The Wildcats have one of the best mid-major players in the country in point guard Jack Gibbs. He's averaging 25.3 points (second nationally), 4.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Gibbs has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week three times already this season. The Panthers have won 12 straight games against A10 teams.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Pittsburgh Panthers ATS

Bradley At Boise State (-23 In NCAA Betting)
This is part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge. Bradley (2-9)  might be the worst team in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Braves did end a nine-game losing streak on Thursday with a 61-53 win over something called Maryville (Mo.). That little Division II school actually led 14-5, but the Braves used a 19-0 run to lead by 13 at halftime. After missing the previous game with a bruised knee, Donte Thomas had nine points, blocked a game-high three shots and shared team-high rebounding honors with seven rebounds. Bradley is a very young team with 10 freshmen on the roster; Thomas is the only sophomore. Five of Bradley’s top six scorers are freshmen, as well as eight of the team’s top nine rebounders. Boise State (7-4) has won four straight since competitive losses to Michigan State and Arizona in the Wooden Legacy event in Anaheim. The Broncos upset then-No. 24 Oregon in their last game, 74-72 on Dec. 12. Anthony Drmic scored 19 points, and the Broncos overcame a double-digit deficit in the first half. They led by as many as 17 in the second half before Oregon staged a big rally that fell short. It was Boise State's first home win against a ranked opponent since beating then-No. 21 Utah State on Feb. 14, 2009. Drmic is now No. 5 on Boise State's all-time scoring list. BSU has won 13 straight at home and is 38-2 in  non-conference games there under Coach Leon Rice.

Bradley is 0-3 in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge series, dropping road games at BYU in 2009 and Wyoming in 2011, sandwiched around a home loss to Utah in 2010. Bradley has failed to cover seven of its past eight vs. teams with a winning record.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Boise State Broncos ATS
Best Line Offered: -23 (-105) at 5Dimes

Evansville At Fresno State (-1.5 For  NCAA Basketball Picks)
This is also part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge. With Wichita State looking a bit shaky, Evansville (9-2) might be the team to beat in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Purple Aces have solid wins over Belmont and  Murray State with losses to Providence and Arkansas. They are off an 84-70 win over Norfolk State on Thursday. Senior D.J. Balentine became just the fourth player in school history to score 2,000 career points. He finished with a game-high 26 and is only  the 16th player in MVC history to hit 2,000. Fresno Ballentine leads the team in scoring at 21.8 while adding 5.4 assists. Egidijus Mockevicius is a double-double machine, averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds. Fresno State (8-3) has lost to Oregon and Arizona this season, both understandable, but also to Cal Poly. The Bulldogs were last in action Wednesday and beat CSU Bakersfield 76-68. This will be FSU's 200th all-time game at the Save Mart Center. Fresno is looking for its best start since 2006 and best home start since opening 12-0 in 2002. Fresno State has won its last nine home games -- the program’s second longest home win streak at the Save Mart Center. Bulldogs senior guard Marvelle Harris was picked as the 2015-16 Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year. He's averaging 18.5 points, 4.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds. Evansville and Fresno State met last year in Florida with the Purple Aces winning 58-52 in the opening round of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

Best Line Offered: -2 (-113) at Pinnacle
