This game is a toss-up in the eyes of oddsmakers, with neither Seton Hall or South Florida clearly a cut above the other. Let's examine which way we should go with our college basketball picks here.

Odds Overview

As we mentioned, there's nothing separating these teams in the eyes of the NCAA Basketball odds makers right now. The spread is at a pick'em at time of this writing.

At first glance, you may be wondering about this low total of 115.5, but it shouldn't be that alarming. Both of these Big East punching bags have been putrid offensively and we don't expect much to change tonight.

Seton Hall Pirates

Aside from a one-point win over Villanova in late February, conference play was essentially a horror show for the Pirates. They finished 3-15 in the Big East.

It was not an encouraging finish to their regular season for Seton Hall either. They followed up that win over the Wildcats by losing to both Providence and Rutgers, with the loss against the Scarlet Knights coming in their own gym. Not the way you want to close out things.

The Pirates have been missing Brandon Mobley, who is out for the year with a shoulder injury. He was averaging 9.0 PPG and 5.5 RPG for the team and was a key factor in the regular season win against Rutgers, scoring 14 points off the bench.

With Mobley unavailable, more of the onus has fallen onto the shoulders of Fuquan Edwin, Aaron Cosby and Gene Teague, though it's Edwin that's been having to do most of the work on the offensive end.

He can't do it all though, and Seton Hall's inability to put the ball in the hoop, especially as of late, is a worrying sign ahead of tonight's tipoff. Over the last five games, the Pirates have put up just 58.0 PPG.

South Florida Bulls

A 12-18 overall record is certainly nothing to write home about, but the Bulls actually closed out the season playing some of their best basketball.

Having lost 10 in a row, it looked like South Florida couldn't wait for the season to end. However, they went out and won two of their final three regular season games, including a very impressive 65-51 home victory over Connecticut.

The Bulls also gave Cincinnati everything they could handle in the final game, but ended up just short in an overtime loss. Still, South Florida fans have to be encouraged by the pride that's been shown from their team here in March.

This little resurgence is nice and all, but the fact remains South Florida has been an utter disaster in the ATS arena this year. They're a miserable 11-18 ATS on the season and have covered in only four of their twelve contests away from home.

Perhaps a little revenge factor will help out the Bulls, considering they shot 33.9 percent against Seton Hall on the road and still only lost by eight. They'll want to come out and prove they have what it takes here in the rematch on a neutral court.

College Basketball Pick

Based primarily on recent performances, we are going to roll with South Florida to win here and advance on to the next round.

The Bulls are playing with a purpose at the moment and should be able to carry over that momentum versus a Seton Hall squad that's lost 12 of their last 13.

You might want to look over a possible play on the UNDER too, despite the fact the number is so low. Both teams have had immense struggles on the offensive end this season, so we wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if the final number still ends up well below 115.5.

Whatever you should decide, best of luck with your sports picks for the day!
