Our college basketball expert Ross Benjamin has gone 12-7-1 ATS the last eight betting days with his underdog NCAA basketball picks. Go inside for Wednesday’s two best plays.

Arkansas vs. Florida 7:00 PM ET
Arkansas has gone a respectable 5-3 during their last eight games, and covered in seven of those contests. The Razorbacks have forced a combined 48 turnovers in its previous three contests. That will be a huge factor today against a Florida Gators team that’s committed 13 turnovers or more in each of their last six games. Arkansas is an excellent three point shooting team that converts on 42.4% of its attempts this season. That’s always a great equalizer for a sizable underdog like the Razorbacks will be on Wednesday.

Florida is coming off a huge 17 point home win as a 1.0 point underdog against #14 West Virginia last Saturday. They’ll also be facing #20 Kentucky in their next game this upcoming Saturday. As a a result, tonight is potentially a game in which Florida may not be sharp. Besides their aforementioned turnover issues, Florida is one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the country, converting on a terrible 63.3% of their attempts this season. That’s certainly something that can’t be overlooked, especially if they’re nursing a lead in the final minutes of Wednesday’s contest.

Arkansas will keep this game much closer than Gators fans will care for, and an upset isn’t totally out of the question. Current NCAA basketball odds at Pinnacle provides me with the best number.

Creighton vs. Villanova 7:00 PM ET
This NCAA basketball pick is all about it being an ideal spot for the underdog. Creighton was embarrassed by Villanova during a 14 point home loss in early January. They allowed Villanova to shoot 68% from the field, and that included an incredible 28-for-32 (87.5%) from inside the three point line. I will go out on a limb and say there’s no way that profound of a shooting performance will happen again, or even come close to occurring. Creighton will also be out to atone for disappointing losses in their last two games versus Georgetown and Seton Hall.

Villanova is 10-1 at home this season and a stellar 8-1 in Big East action. Their lone defeat at home and in conference play came just ten days ago versus Providence. They’ll be traveling to Providence this coming Saturday to take on the Friars and Villanova will be out for big time revenge. However, before partaking on that task, there’s a small order of business they still need to address. The Wildcats can’t afford to overlook a solid Creighton team, but human nature suggests they’ll be mentally vulnerable tonight.

Calling for an outright upset would be a bit of a stretch. What’s more realistic is a closer than expected game tonight. I’m siding with the underdog in this contest for one of my college basketball picks for Wednesday.
