Our NCAA basketball odds analyst has two underdog plays on Thursday’s card. Find out which are his NCAA basketball picks and maximize your profits tonight.

UAB vs. Old Dominion 7:00 PM ET
First and foremost, UAB returned all five starters from a NCAA Tournament team from a season ago. As a matter of fact, they upset #3 seed Iowa State in the second round of “The Big Dance” before being eliminated by UCLA. They did get off to a disappointing 3-3 start this season, and have since won ten straight games. The Blazers are averaging 79.6 points scored per game, and have converted on an excellent 49.2% of their field goal attempts.

Old Dominion is coming off an upset loss as a sizable 12.5 point favorite at Southern Mississippi. They do return home tonight where they’ve gone a perfect 8-0 thus far. That factor, along with a slightly better strength of schedule rating compared to UAB, prompted sportsbooks to open the Monarchs as a 4.0 points favorite. I firmly believe that will all go for naught this evening against a more experienced and talented opponent.

Pittsburgh vs. Louisville 9:00 PM ET
Since suffering their only loss to Purdue on 12/1/15, Pittsburgh has won nine straight games, and that included 3-0 SU&ATS in ACC action. This is a solid Panthers team on many fronts. They’ve shot 49% or better from the floor in 11 of their last 14 games, possess an excellent 1.8:1.0 assist to turnover ratio, and have an extremely impressive +11 rebound per game differential. Pitt will also be playing with double revenge stemming from a pair of double digit defeats at the hands of Louisville last season.

Louisville has gone just 2-2 in their last four games, and is coming off a 66-62 loss at Clemson as a 6.5 point favorite during its previous contest.

Pittsburgh is a much better team than they’ve been given credit for at this juncture. There’s no doubt about the talent level of Louisville. However, this is way too steep a number against a quality opponent the likes of Pitt. I’m siding with the road underdog for one of my college basketball picks on Thursday.
