The Cardinals have been playing like they fully deserved that number one overall ranking in the tournament. Can they topple Oregon in the Sweet 16 and where can bettors find value with their sports picks?

Before placing your picks, take a look at our NCAA Tournament Betting: Sweet 16 Seeding Trends.

Odds Overview

It's not very often you see a double-digit spread either way in the Sweet 16, but anything's possible with the way Louisville has been performing.

As of now the Cardinals are favored by 10 points and they haven't had any trouble covering large numbers in their first matchups against North Carolina AT&T and Colorado State.

Let SBR be your 2013 NCAA Tournament betting headquarters.

Louisville Cardinals

After thumping the Aggies 79-48 in the opening round, the Cardinals didn't let up at all in a 82-56 beatdown of Colorado State.

Louisville was literally hitting everything they were throwing up, as they finished at 56.4 percent from the floor. They dropped 45 first-half points on the Rams, who just didn't enough in te tank to keep up throughout.

Russ Smith was feeling it, pouring in 27 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He was having a ton of success getting to the line, as usual, and ended up 9-of-10 from the line.

Elsewhere, Peyton Siva had 10 points and five assists, Gorgui Dieng had 12 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting, and Montrezl Harrell contriuted 11 points in 20 minutes off the bench.

This Louisville team is pretty special and the results are backing that up. They've gotten their act together at the right time and it's going to take quite a performance from Oregon or anyone else to get the best of them.

Oregon Ducks

You can tell the Ducks are feeling a little aggrieved about their low seed, as they've come out with a vengeance in these first two rounds.

A 68-55 win over #5 Oklahoma State was impressive enough, but Oregon was even more cohesive in a 74-57 dismantling over a red-hot Saint Louis team. The Billikens were playing as well as anybody in the country, but were made to look very pedestrian.

After racing out to a 35-19 lead by halftime, the Ducks were able to hold off Saint Louis' charges in the second half to seal their spot in the final 16. Oregon dominated the glass (37-23) and still won handily despite having 18 turnovers.

Damyean Dotson came through with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting, Arsalan Kazemi pulled down 16 rebounsd to go along with his eight points, three assists, two steals and two blocks, and Johnathan Loyd and Carlos Emory had 23 points, nine assists and nine rebounds between them off the bench.

Oregon's defense is what has stood out the most so far in the tournament. Since those two losses to Colorado and Utah, the Ducks have seemed unstoppable, but this encounter with Louisville will be the ultimate test.

College Basketball Pick

As good as the Cardinals have looked, that's a lot of points to cover in a Sweet 16 game. Which of these teams should bettors look to when it comes time to place your NCAA basketball picks on this games spread.

We've seen numerous upsets throughout the tournament and the Ducks have been one of the hottest teams over the past couple of weeks. They're showing a great togetherness on both ends of the court at the moment and they could easily trouble Louisville enough to cover this number.

Don't even look at the seed differential. No way Oregon should have been ranked as high as they are – we really like what this team has been doing and we think this value is too sweet to pass up, no matter how lethal Louisville has been.
