The Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country in revenging a home loss versus an opponent, as they travel to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes Tuesday. Where should we be placing our cash for our college basketball picks?

Let’s take a closer look at the NCAA basketball odds for this Big Ten Conference matchup at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, with the opening tip scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Trying to build momentum

Ohio State has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, as it comes off a 59-58 upset victory over the Wisconsin Badgers as five-point road underdogs last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total in four of five contests.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the Buckeyes are 1-3 SU and 3-1 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points, with no clear edge in terms of the total (2-2 Over/Under).

Returning home

Iowa returns home after tallying a 81-74 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini as five-point favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in four contests.

The Hawkeyes have compiled a 20-2 SU record in their last 22 home games, with both losses coming against the Michigan State Spartans.

Since the 2011-12 campaign, the program is 4-2 SUATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 6 points.

College basketball handicappers are definitely going to take a look at the road underdog in this spot, considering the Buckeyes are a dominating 31-10-1 ATS when revenging a home loss versus an opponent in their last 42 opportunities.

Ohio State had its eight-game winning streak against Iowa snapped on Jan. 12, as it dropped a 84-74 decision as 6.5-point home favorites.

It’s important to point out that senior point guard Aaron Craft finished the last meeting with six points, six assists and six turnovers.

Plenty in reserve

The Hawkeyes have a big advantage over most of their conference foes in terms of depth, as their bench averages 33.7 points and 20.9 rebounds per game.

Iowa has five different players score in double figures at Ohio State earlier this year—only the fourth time in Value City Arena history that a visiting team has accomplished that feat.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Hawkeyes as one of their NCAA basketball picks, as they’ve gone 19-7 ATS in their last 26 conference games.

College Basketball Pick: Iowa Hawkeyes -5.5
