Baylor vs. Texas Tech
We're not going to pretend that all is well for the Bears since losing Perry Jones III, Quincy Acy an Quincy Miller, but we do feel this team still has enough talent and experience to take care of Texas Tech tonight.
A quick glance at the college basketball odds tells us that Baylor is favored by nearly double digits for this trip. The total is at 151.
The Bears have managed to fill the gaps pretty well since last season. Seniors Pierre Jackson and A.J. Walton have returned and are averaging close to 11 assists per game between them. Then you've got sharpshooter Brady Heslip, who despite struggling to get going this season can still take over a game at any given moment.
In place of the departed, freshman Isaiah Austin and junior Cory Jefferson have been terrific. Austin is averaging 14.8 points and 8.9 rebounds a contest, while Jefferson has assumed a much larger role this season – he's putting up 14.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks a game.
As evident, the Bears have their fair share of firepower, helping them average 78.4 PPG. We simply think they'll have too much for the Red Raiders, especially since they've already gone into Rupp Arena this season and beaten Kentucky. They also hung tough on the road with Gonzaga.
Meanwhile, the Red Raiders haven't enjoyed the best of home-court advantages. They've lost to Arizona (no surprise there) and have also fallen victim to Alabama, Arizona State and even McNeese State.
Last year's meeting ended 77-48 in Baylor's favor, and while the score may not be as lopsided this time around on Texas Tech's home floor, we still believe the Bears will run away with the victory tonight.

Alabama vs. Missouri
We are adding another relatively large favorite to our NCAA Basketball picks tonight, and that's the Tigers, who will host Alabama.
Optimism was at a high level for the Crimson Tide at the start of the season, as they reeled off six straight wins. Then things quickly went downhill from there, with Alabama losing consecutive matchups to Cincinnati, Dayton and VCU.
The Crimson Tide also lost two of their following four contests after that rough stretch. Both defeats were at home and came at the hands of Tulane and Mercer.
You don't want to mess with Alabama's football team, but their basketball program still has a long way to go. Missouri is one of the most talented and well-coached teams in the country and will be looking for a great all-around performance inside their own building.
The Tigers lost an outstanding senior class, but with Phil Pressey and Laurence Bowers playing at an extremely high level and a host of transfers all making an impact now too, they haven't really skipped a beat. Alex Oriakhi (10.2 PPG and 8.8 RPG) has been a strong presence in the interior and Jabari Brown has joined the team after sitting out the required time from his transfer from Oregon.
Not only are the Tigers ranked high in scoring (78.5 PPG), they're number one in the nation in rebounding. They're averaging a whopping 46.7 rebounds per contest as a team.
It's about time Missouri got back to their dominant winning ways at home, so we're picking them to get the job done.
