We have some real obscure small school NCAA Basketball games available on Sunday night.. I'm focused on a couple of the lower totals offered by odds makers. "Show me the money" with these NCAAB picks!
Western Carolina Catamounts (15-16, 9-9) vs. Wofford Terriers (26-6,16-2)
Southern Conference Tournament Semifinals: Wofford Can Smell An NCAA Tournament Bid
This is a rather easy for the Terriers in a semifinals nonetheless as Wofford has won their last 6 games and 13 out of their last 14 games. This is a team that can't compete with Duke, but a tussle with the Catamounts appears to be one-sided. Despite the fact that Western Carolina averages 70.6 points per game and Wofford averages 66.8 points, the betting total is a mere 123. The over looks mighty appealing as even the weaker team can put the rock in the ocean.
NCAA Basketball Odds makers have taken into account that Wofford has a very formidable defense. In their last 14 games, Wofford has only allowed more than 64 points on one occasion. I'm not so much concerned as a lot of the opponents point outputs have reached the 60 mark and Wofford is quite capable of putting up points themselves, especially during this winning streak. During their 6 game winning streak, Wofford has scored 70 points or more in 5 out of the 6 games.
He's the 2nd leading scorer on the Terriers, but guard, Spencer Collins, has had the hot hand as of late. Although he averages 11.5 points per game, Collins has taken matters into his own hands lately with 2 games of 20 points or more in his last 3 games.
He has shot the ball very well and has taken some of the pressure off of Karl Cochran (14.9 ppg. 5.9 rpg.), who has shot really poorly this season. Cochran has still managed to be a productive player on both ends of the court, but is shooting a tad below 40% from the field. Look for this combination to lead Wofford to the next round while putting up some points. The upside to Cochran is that he consistently puts up points despite his inaccurate shooting.
Western Carolina counteracts with senior, James Sinclair. Sinclair has had a spectacular senior campaign despite the lack of team success. He's averaging nearly 20 points per contest and is coming off of a 30 point effort against East Tennessee State. This game's NCAA basketball pick has 'over' the total written all over it.

Closing Out Strong
This is a game in which I already covered the side and provided Maryland as the easy winner and I also like the total in this game. Maryland, who averages 69.9 points per game, has actually had some defensive battles as of late. They upset the Wisconsin Badgers in a game that you knew would be low scoring, 59-53 and they only managed to put up 60 points against a really weak Rutgers team while playing outstanding defense.
Nebraska has also played a ton of low scoring games. They scored 57 points in each of their last 2 games and have scored 60 points or less in 8 out of their last 10 games. This is really not a game for Maryland to get excited about. The spread is low, but I can see Maryland blowing Nebraska out and having subs playing a major portion of this game as the Terps looks past Nebraska to the Big-Ten Tournament. If this happens, this game will go under the total despite having such a low total in this game.
All points lead to an under, but I expect Melo Trimble and Dez Wells to have big games and finish the regular season on a high note and with some momentum. Fade the consensus and take the over.
