Current college basketball betting odds have Louisville favored by eight points for this semi-final showdown in the Big Apple.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Notre Dame fans have to be wondering what the heck is going on with Jack Cooley, who's scored a total of eight points in the tournament so far, but they have to be ecstatic that others are elevating their level of play. Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton are both playing great ball right now.The Fighting Irish are getting their act together at the most opportune time, as they've beaten both Rutgers and Marquette by eight points in the opening two rounds.
Still, the fact remains this team has to get more out of Cooley if they want to get the best of Louisville. Gorgui Deng has been a force to be reckoned with for Louisville and the Fighting Irish are going to have a lot of trouble tonight if they're not physical enough down low.
Want to know something scary? Dieng had just six points and three rebounds yesterday but the Cardinals still won by 19 over a good Villanova team.
Most of the plaudits should go to Russ Smith, who was on fire throughout. He hit 7-of-12 shots, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, and ended up with a game-high 28 points. Smith had one less point than the rest of the Louisville starting five combined.
The Cardinals defense is what's really winning them games though. They haven't allowed a team to score 60 points in five straight games, and that includes matchups with top programs like Syracuse, Cincinnati and this very Notre Dame team.

College Basketball Pick
Ahead of tonight's tip, the Fighting Irish are 5-2 ATS over their previous seven, while the Cardinals have cashed in five consecutive contests.
We loved how Notre Dame battled last night in the face of a Marquette-heavy crowd, but Louisville is playing at such a high level that it's hard to foresee them losing this one. Everything is clicking for the Cardinals on both ends of the floor and their experience has really shone through.
The Fighting Irish simply have to be hitting their shots if they want any chance of keeping pace, and while that's entirely possible, we like the chances of a Louisville W and ATS cover much more. For todays College Basketball picks, we're backing the better, more consistent team, one that will also have the fresher legs.
