The chances of Top 10 team Virginia winning the ACC regular-season title again took a huge hit. Will the Cavaliers avoid another loss on Monday? Here are my NCAA Basketball picks.

Oakland vs. Wright State
These two schools are tied for second in the Horizon League, 1.5 games behind Valparaiso. Oakland (18-9, 10-4) is at Valpo on Friday. The Golden Grizzlies, who already have lost at home to Valparaiso (84-67 on Jan. 8), are off a 111-93 home win over Green Bay. Kay Felder led six Oakland players in double figures with 28 points while adding seven assists. He's a top candidate for Horizon League Player of the Year as Felder is No. 4 nationally in scoring at 24.7 points per game and tops in assists at 9.1 a game. Felder also has made 41 straight free throws, four shy of breaking the school record. The 111 points scored tied an Oakland record since it became a Division I school. Wright State (16-11, 10-4) had an interesting last week. On Thursday, it was beaten 64-59 at the Horizon's worst team, UIC. But then on Saturday, WSU beat pulled off a 61-59 upset at Valparaiso, ending the Crusaders' 25-game home winning streak. Wright State was down six with 2:35 left but a Biggie Minnis (great name) putback with one second left won it. The 10 league victories match the most for the school under sixth-year coach Billy Donlon. Oakland hosted Wright State on Jan. 29 and the Grizzlies won 89-63. Felder had 33 points, six assists and five steals. The Grizzlies jumped out to a 25-9  lead and never trailed.  It has won six straight games on the road and is the only Horizon League game without a conference loss. The Grizzlies have covered 18 of their past 26 road games overall. Wright State is 2-5 ATS in its past seven games. The favorite is 4-0 ATS in the past four meetings. Take Oakland as your NCAA basketball pick.

NC State vs. #7 Virginia
The Wolfpack (13-12, 3-9) aren't very good but do have one of the nation's top scorers in Anthony "Cat" Barber. He's fifth in the country in scoring at 24.1 points per game and second in minutes played. Barber had a career-high 38 points (30 in the second half) in Saturday's 99-88 home in over Wake Forest. Barber was 17-for-18 from the  free-throw line, the second-most makes in school history in a game. The 99 points were NC State's most in an ACC game since January 1992. Virginia (20-5, 9-4) had a seven-game winning streak end Saturday in a 63-62 loss at Duke, where the Cavs just about never win. The Blue Devils won on a fairly lucky Grayson Allen leaning bank shot at the buzzer even though it looked pretty clear that he had traveled. UVA is seeking a third straight ACC regular-season title but is now 1.5 games behind first-place North Carolina. Virginia has won 17 straight games at home, however. The Cavaliers have won their past eight regular-season  matchups with NC State. At home they have won six in a row in the series. NC State is 1-4 against the NCAA basketball odds in its past five games following a win. Virginia is 8-3 ATS in its past 11 following a loss.

Oklahoma State vs. #6 Kansas
The Jayhawks (21-4, 9-3 Big 12) won't be at No. 6 when the new polls are released. They are going to rise following a 76-72 upset win at No. 3 Oklahoma on Saturday, the Sooners' first home loss of the season. Sophomore Devonte Graham led KU with a career-high 27 points, hitting 6-for-9 from 3-point range. Kansas held OU scoreless from the field in the final two minutes after Graham gave his team a 73-71 lead on a 3-pointer with 2:18 left. Kansas is tied for the Big 12 lead with West Virginia. KU has the nation's longest home winning streak at 39 games. Oklahoma State (12-13, 3-9) ended a three-game losing streak with an ugly 58-55 home OT win over Kansas State on Saturday. Tavarius Shine came off the bench to score 11 points, five in OT. The Pokes hosted Kansas on Jan. 19 and pulled off an 86-67 shocker. Freshman Jawun Evans had 22 points, eight assists and six rebounds in the win. OSU shot 50 percent from the field. Oh, the Cowboys won't win, but KU is bound to have  a bit of a letdown following its biggest road win of  the year. KU is 1-4 ATS in its past five Monday games. OSU has covered four of its past six on the day.
