As the two-seed, the Rebels are the favorites in the eyes of the college basketball odds makers. They're giving away four points to Vanderbilt, but we feel that the dogs might show up to play. Find out why we have decided to back the Commodores with our NCAA Basketball picks in this SEC showdown.

Ole Miss Rebels
In what could be described as a theft, the Rebels waited until the final moments to turn up the pressure. Better late than never, right?
Down for practically the entire game, Ole Miss mounted a comeback against Missouri and won on a last-second shot. Marshall Henderson went for a game-high 27 points on 8-of-18 shooting, with only one other Rebel scoring in double figures.
We are interested to see how Ole Miss fares against a Vanderbilt defense that was suffocating the life out of Kentucky last night. The Wildcats were having a hard time finding any sort of space and were throwing up a lot of contested shots – are we in for more of the same from the Rebels today?
Despite a crowd that was practically comprised of all Kentucky blue, the Wildcats were no match for Vanderbilt in the quarter-finals.
The Commodores came out of the gates strong and never looked back. They shot 50.0 percent overall and made 8-of-17 from beyond the arc, while their D held Kentucky to 34.6 percent shooting. Vanderbilt took care of the ball, turning it over just four times, and fully deserved the 64-48 victory.
It was a balanced effort all-around, with four different Commodores scoring 10+ points. Dai-Jon Parker had 12 points and six rebounds, while Kedren Johnson (10 points) was having a lot of success getting into the lane and dishing out to open shooters.
College Basketball Pick
The Commodores were in complete cruise control throughout against Kentucky and were hitting a ton of shots. If they can hit a decent clip once more, we really like their chances of an ATS cover.
Ole Miss tends to rely a little too much on Henderson, and if at any time he goes cold, so too does the Rebels offense.
While Ole Miss has had a good presence, fan-wise, so far in the tournament, the Commodores are right at home in Nashville and that level of comfort can be seen in their play so far. They are playing mistake-free basketball right now and we feel they'll cover this number.
