The number four ranked Miami Hurricanes (20-3 SU, 5-2-2 ATS away) will be on the road this Sunday evening, as they prepare for a matchup against the Clemson Tigers (13-11 SU, 6-5 ATS home) in a clash between two teams from the ACC.
Tip off in this one is scheduled for 6:00 PM EST from the J.C. Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina and can be seen live on television, with broad cast coverage provided by ESPNU.
As it stands right now, the college basketball odds favor Miami in this one, as they are laying the chalk to the tune of -6 points, while the over/under total is coming in at 120 ½ points.
Miami was a team that was unranked just four weeks ago and now all of a sudden they find themselves positioned as the 4th best team in the nation when the visit Clemson for an ACC battle this Sunday night.
The Hurricanes enter playing tonight against the Tigers riding a 12-game straight up winning streak, while also producing for us bettors – especially on the road where they are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine outings when playing away from the BankUnited Center.
Overall, Miami is 19-6-2 ATS in its last 27 games, 15-5-2 ATS in its last 22 versus ACC opponents and 5-1 ATS in its last six contests played on a Sunday.
However, while the Hurricanes certainly boast some nice ATS numbers, they have been unsuccessful when facing the Tigers. In fact, Miami is just 1-5 against the NCAAB odds spread in its last six matchups against Clemson.
At two games above .500, Clemson has been a mediocre team all season and the results have been much of the same for us bettors, as the Tigers are 6-5 ATS on their home court and 5-4 ATS when listed as underdogs.
Clemson will try and carry over the momentum from Thursday’s 56-53 win over Georgia Tech, but it might be easier said then done, as they Tigers are winless in four tries this season against ranked opponents.
Miami has eclipsed the total in four of its last five games overall, while Clemson is over in five of its last six when playing against a team with a winning record.
In head to head action, the last five meetings between these two schools have gone over the posted total when the game is being played in Clemson.
Miami has really elevated its game over the last few weeks and as a result have become one of the elite teams in the nation. For this reason, I don’t see Clemson being able to stop them tonight, even if they are playing at home. Take the Hurricanes for your basketball picks today.
