The Kansas Jayhawks have really struggled in dropping their last three games, but an appearance on ESPN’s Big Monday against the Kansas State Wildcats could help turn things around.

Let’s take a closer look at the betting line for this Big 12 Conference matchup at Allen Fieldhouse, which tips off at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Kansas State has won four games in a row, including a 79-70 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones as 6.5-point home favorites Saturday, while going OVER the posted total of 136.5. The Wildcats will now try to gain revenge from an earlier 59-55 loss to the Jayhawks as 3.5-point home underdogs on Jan. 22.

The program is 4-3 straight up when revenging a home loss versus an opponent the last two-plus seasons, but has compiled a 2-5 against-the-spread (ATS) mark in that situation.

Things have gone south in a hurry

It’s very rare to see Kansas drop three consecutive games as a betting favorite, as it was unable to snap its losing streak in suffering a 72-66 setback to the Oklahoma Sooners as 5.5-point road favorites over the weekend. The team is 0-3 SUATS in February.

If the Jayhawks suffer another defeat in this affair—it would serve as their first four-game losing streak since 1988-89.

Series history

Despite their recent struggles, the college basketball odds are going to make the Jayhawks appear as an attractive option, considering they’ve won 29 of the last 32 regular-season games versus the Wildcats. The favorite is also a dominating 23-7 ATS in the last 30 meetings in this series, while the UNDER has cashed in five of the previous seven.

Big Monday

College basketball fans love tuning into ESPN’s Big Monday on a weekly basis, as it usually offers some of the best matchups for that particular week, but no one is looking forward to it more than the Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self

Kansas has won 19-straight games at this particular venue when being featured in this event, including a perfect 15-0 mark under Self’s direction.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Jayhawks as one of their NCAA Basketball picks, as they’ve gone 19-9 ATS in their last 28 Monday games, while the Wildcats have failed to cover the spread in their four losses when getting points during the 2012-13 season.

College Basketball Pick: Kansas Jayhawks -7.5 at Pinnacle
