North Dakota State reached the finals by trouncing Denver 83-48 last night, and easily covered as a 7.0 point favorite. It was sweet retribution for the Bison in the respect that 1 of their 6 losses this season came at the hands of the Pioneers. The Bison shot a blistering 62.5% from the field in the win, including going 8 for 12 (66.7%) from beyond the 3-point line. This is nothing new for a Bison team that’s #1 nationally in field goal percentage defense converting a superb 51.2% of their attempts on the season. The Bison were also outrebounded Denver 31-20, and only turned the ball over just 6-times. They’re also statistically the best defensive rebounding team in the country as well.

The Summit League Finals participants are two of the best shooting teams in all of NCAA basketball. Both are very capable of lighting it up from beyond the 3-point line. I look for both clubs to be very efficient offensively tonight while exhibiting terrific shooting throughout the contest. I like this contest to be a relatively high scoring affair that will easily surpass the total.
