Our NCAAB handicapper turns to the Pac-12 conference, where at the end of conference play plenty of trends have come into focus. Read on as he makes a pair of totals as his NCAA basketball picks.

Washington vs. Oregon (Over 165)
The Oregon Ducks (22-6, 11-4) sit atop the Pac-12 standings and hope to extend that lead as they host the Washington Huskies (16-12, 8-8) on Sunday evening in Eugene. As is the case for all Pac-12 teams, these two have not met since last year, which was a 78-74 win for Oregon that went over the listed total of 150.5. Quite a bit higher total listed in this one, opening at 165 at Bovada. This will be a nationally televised game that can be seen on ESPNU.

The Huskies are coming off of a disheartening loss to Oregon State, as a last second shot was dropped by the Beavers to take the game 81-82. That game was needed by the Huskies to keep up in the Pac-12 and stay within the NCAA tournament bubble. Now the Huskies need every win they can get, and possibly an outright Pac-12 tournament win to get into the post season. Either the Huskies players will be galvanized by this, or doubt will start creeping into the back of their minds about the chances of their season slipping away.

Both of these teams play at a fast pace, with Oregon averaging 80.4 points at home. Don’t expect a drop in this number on Sunday as the Huskies allow an average of 84.4 points per game on the road and 46.1% shooting from the floor. If anything, it is the Oregon defense that has control of our O/U outcome in this game, as they only allow 66.1 points per game at home this year. That is at odds with the Huskies scoring 79.5 points per game on the road.

Oregon has showed that they will play an up tempo game against opponents that like to do so in conference play though, scoring in the high 80’s and 90’s against Colorado, USC, UCLA, ASU, and Oregon State. The Huskies have pressed the issue in terms of pace in conference play, compiling a 12-4 record. Washington will be playing desperate in this game, and it is not in their nature to slow down and play defense, they will speed up. Checking the NBA odds boards, I'd say to take over 165 this game as one of your Sunday NCAAB Picks.

Washington State vs. Oregon State (Under 139.5)
The Washington State Cougars (9-19, 1-15) continue to slog out their Pac-12 schedule as they hit the road and visit the Oregon State Beavers (16-10, 7-8) on Sunday night in a matchup that can be seen on the Pac-12 Network. These teams met last February at Oregon State, with the Beavers winning at home, 55-50, in a game that went well under the low listed total of 125. The total for this game is way higher, and can be found at 139.5 at Heritage.

In the midst of the Cougars’ awful conference performances this year is the fact that they have just stopped scoring on offense. The under is 9-1 in their last ten conference games, and they haven’t scored more than 62 points in their last four games. The Cougars average a pitiful 65.9 points per game on the road this year.

The Beavers have a 3 game Over streak going and a 9-6 O/U record in conference play, but that won’t come into consideration in this game. The last 4 games between Wazzu and Oregon State have gone under the listed total, and the under is 7-4 in the last 11 games played in Corvallis. The Cougars are playing for next year and bench players will get plenty of time in this game. That is not the recipe for an offensive explosion, so take under 139.5 at Heritage for one of your Sunday NCAA basketball picks.
